  • Carbs 2 hours before a run is ideal but since I wake up and run I usually don't eat anything unless I run more than 4 miles, then I need the fuel to keep going. Its just personal preference and how your own body responds. I like to weigh in right after a good workout so on weigh-in days I def. don't eat before.
  • I use MapMyRun as well. Would love to get a GPS watch but they aren't really in my budget.

  • Pre- nothing During- nothing (only nothing so I can then do my weigh-in after my workout) Post- Gold Standard Whey Protein Powder- most delicious whey protein powder Ive ever had! All the flavors are good!!
  • I sit at a desk all day and I just try to eat every couple of hours. I bring an apple, a fiber granola bar, and fresh fruit for snacks and then just have a big salad at lunch. I also drink a TON of water and chew gum in between snacks.
  • That's a pretty bold thing to try! I could never give up meat, it is an essential nutrient in my diet. Plus its yummy!! My best advice is make sure you are getting your protein elsewhere. Protein is vital for weight loss especially when you are working out a lot!
  • I hate the gym...actually I've never been to one. I'm just terrified of the gym because I've never been to one and the thought just makes me uncomfortable. But I love to run outside and do workout DVDs, so I save money and that potentially uncomfortable situation.
  • A few squeezes of fresh lemon makes plain old water taste soooo delicious in my opinion! And no artificial sweeteners to worry about!
