  • One tip I can offer...if you have a button closure, take a small hair tie, loop it around the button, then through the button hole and back around the button. Once your belly fat starts to go, you'll no longer need the rubberband. (Obviously this only works if you have a shirt or undershirt long enough to cover the closure)
  • I've found that having everything ready really helps. I prepare my workout clothes, work clothes and lunch for the next day all before I go to bed. Also knowing that I'm likely to do better with my eating if I workout in the morning as opposed to at night, helps out with the willpower thing. I have had to literally talk…

  • Another run this morning, finally past halfway.
  • 4 more in this morning, weather was gorgeous!
  • Halfway through the month today and not quite halfway there. Need to step it up just a bit since I'll be on vacation July 25-28....
  • Just about 1/3 of the way there...
  • Back on track over resting up from a cold this weekend.
  • Hello all. I'm Laura, down here outside of Houston, TX. Been on and off running for the past couple of years while doing a bootcamp as well. Just had to quit the class due to expense so now I'm giving running another go. I run first thing in the mornings aroun 530am as it's my only free time with a 4 year old kiddo and…
  • In and aiming for 50 miles.
  • My husband is always supportive of my efforts. I think he knows not to push me too much because that will just deter me, but it's the little things that really help. I work out early mornings and I work full time. The free time I have leftover I prefer to spend with my 4 year old. There are many times my husband has…
  • Money is a little tight for us right now as well so I'm trying to go cheap as I can. Frozen veggies are a good alternative to fresh, I just look for the ones with no added ingredients. Frozen tilapia filets turn out to be pretty cheap here as well. If I get fresh produce, I go for whatever is in season at the time. My 4…
  • Strawberry Cheesecake - 0/10 This was horrible and I had one bite and threw it in the trash. Lemon Cream Pie - 0/10 Also completely awful. I finished it only because I had nothing else to eat for my snack. Both these flavors had barely any fruit to them and were very gritty. If I try another flavor, it won't be a fruit…
  • Beets and carrots drizzled with a honey and lime mixture. Bake in a foil pouch until they are as tender as you like. I also love this recipe which has potatoes, cauliflower, brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes. (Yield = 6 side dish servings) Ingredients: 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil 1 large sweet potato, chopped into…
  • Agree. When I was finally fed up enough, I found a class that met at 5:30am and joined. It was the only time in my day I could get out, while my family were all still sound asleep in bed. Did I want to be comfy under the covers too? Hell yeah, but I made the commitment to get my butt out of bed and get to the gym, still be…
  • Right now I'm using Dymatize Elite 7 rich chocolate shake and it is delicious. I only mix it with water so I'm sure if you were going to add milk or anything it would be even better.
  • I like them roasted with a honey lime dressing, I've never had them any other way.
  • I work FT and have an almost 4 year old. I get up and go to bootcamp at 530am. I find that it wakes me up and gives me better energy for the rest of the day. It's not for everyone, but I've been doing it a few years now.
  • Welcome, glad to see you back at it after such an emoitional time. Fellow Texan here (well, a NY transplant living here anyways). I've been on and off the wagon the past two or so years, for varying reasons. You can do it again, you've got the right mindest to keep it going
  • I so miss Timmy Ho's, I used to get a medium double double and honey wheat bagel for breakfast before work everyday. A long, long, long time ago. Oh! I jsut looked at the website and I can order it online now. Best news ever on a slow Monday morning.

  • I use Jay Robb Whey protein in either tropical dreamsicle or strawberry with 2 cups of straight water. 1 carb and 0 sugar. It's not amazing tasting but not horrible or chalky like others I've tried.
