I'll try to post this months progress on whether or not I've been able to break my plateau. I made quite a few changes to my diet and exercise regimen so I'm hoping the results will pay off.

I SO feel your pain on this. Mostly everyone in my office is overweight and out of shape. I mostly just look at my coworkers themselves, and I think to myself "I want to look better and feel healthy". This was how I won the battle today. The office event had tons of pizza, but I didn't eat a bite. I opted for the lunch I'd…

1. Dirty or unkempt gym and gym machines. 2. People on cell phones. 3. People wanting to workout with me (not in a group class evironment). I'm a loner and my pace is different from others. I hate having to slow things down for a gym buddy (love you but workout on your own). 4. Loud headphones. I shouldn't be able to hear…

Chick-fil-a sandwich and waffle fries (i know... i know... on the potatoes but its sooooo good!)

Good debate or not, people shouldn't be pushing things on this site that are not true. It confuses the crap out of the newbie’s then someone has to chime in to correct the “debate” if you can call it that. Had 3 people listen to this crap and e-mail me because they can't seem to loose weight and were told that all natural…

I love a good debate. You have all made my day! :-)

As I said before, everything should be in moderation, but I refuse to believe that 30g of sugar from an apple will effect my body the same as 30g of sugar from a Little Debbie Snack Cake. Two completely different chemical makeups. The apple will provide readily available energy, and its actual chemical breakdown starts…

All sugars are not created equal. Please review the chemistry of a simple sugar molecule (such as fructose aka fruit) and a complex sugar molecule (aka sucrose and other polysaccharides). The body can break down fruit sugar very easily and use it for energy IMMEDIATELY versus trying to break down complex sugars which are…

Everyday almost. I keep myself on track when I do, and I notice trends with the foods I eat. It helps me to see what foods makes me retain water. I weigh in my undies and glasses in the morning, right after the morning flush.

Omg! Ive been having this issue all week! In the past, I've found that if I workout past 7pm, I won't be able to sleep until much later in the evening. I'm an evening workout person. It hasn't been an issue before but I've cranked up my workouts and now I can't sleep like I use to. I will most likely drink some water.…

I would suggest you eat more. I believe everyone has already mentioned eggs. They are great! I pan cook egg whites and toss in some spinach. I usually alternate between eggs and oatmeal. My eating schedule allows five small meals. I eat at 7:00 am. I usually get a bit hungry around 10 am and I grab a snack 200 cals or…

Make chicken burritoes!!! Along with some brown rice, salsa, and your choice of sauce. (I typically skip the cheese :-( )

I went from 1200 calories initially to 1400 after losing 11 lbs. The smaller you get the more you will need to eat for energy since your body will have established a higher metabolism. I get hungry often throughout the day so the increase really helped. My results have not caught up with the dietary change yet, but I am…

Sodium is the devil...especially around that time of the month. Don't go over the daily requirement and drink plenty of water.

First, I will suggest taking a hard look at the items you are eating. Personally, I must watch my carbohydrates and sugar intake to really see a decrease in my weight. That may include foods that I found healthy like whole grain wheat and some fruits. Carbs are carbs and sugar is sugar. All of it must be eaten in…

My favorite meal would be breakfast and my 10 am and 3pm snacks. I usually have oatmeal or and egg white omelette. My snacks usually will be plain Greek yogurt with added fruit and a Splenda packet and mild cheddar cheese cubes and strawberries or white cheddar popcorn. Good stuff!!!!

McDonald's or Wendy's French Fries is my #1 trigger food. I totally avoid potatoes altogether.

This is seriously one of my worries, but I think there's a way to be healthy during a pregnancy that won't cause so much mayhem once you've given birth. I have no children but I hope when the time comes, I will be able to continue to eat and exercise.

My place of work has a gym (its a university). I use their gym but due to the lack of things to do, i have to switch things up and workout at home, or i work out outside. I get bored easily so I have to keep changing it up to stick with the routine of healthy living.
-
I eat before I workout, and I usually do so because I have more energy for a longer workout and I burn more calories. I've also gone without breakfast, but I tap out very quickly.

Whatever you decide to have for breakfast, be sure it's high in protein and low in sugar. Glycemic index is a weight loss factor.
