I've been on the site for quite some time but have never stuck with it unfortunately... trying once again to make a go at it. My name is Amanda! Nice to meet you :)

Understood - thank you for your input and insight. I will have to spend some time thinking about my goals.

Thanks so much - that's awesome! Congrats :)

Awesome! Thanks :) Great job!!

Hi there - thanks so much for your optimism and encouragement! What steps did you take to lose your weight, if you don't mind me asking?
-
Yes, I absolutely agree with you. I should not have waited until the last minute. But the way I see it, it's better late than never. I'm a huge procrastinator and incredibly lazy (will be the first to admit it). I needed the stress/pressure of the upcoming vacation to kick my behind in gear. I am not asking HOW DO I LOSE…

I just meant, realistically, so I'm not setting myself up for disappointment.

If anyone wants to add me, I have an open diary. Also, I'd like to add other 1,200ish calorie eaters with open diaries! Thanks :) and happy New Year!

BUMP, BUMP... BUMP IT UP!!

Thanks very much everyone. I just checked out that group... I did not realize it existed. If anyone else wants to share their diary with me, it would be most appreciated! I love taking peek at what other people eat in a day. Helps me with ideas for meals! Keep 'em coming! Have a wonderful day :)

Bumping my own post!

I did not participate in the whole 'challenege' concept of it... but for about 5 months I did have a 'shake' every day for lunch as a replacement for a meal. It did work, it gave me energy, filled me up and I lost about 15 lbs in 5 months... with Body by Vi being the only thing I changed. I then had a terrible experience…

Out of curiosity, how many calories do you gals eat in a day? I know what MFP is telling me I SHOULD be eating, but I'm wondering if you all follow those numbers or not...
-
My doctor said ideally I should be between 125 and 140 lbs, which to me, isn't all that realistic... not right now anyway. To me, 125 or even 135 lbs is quite low for someone with my body type. I think I'll stick with 150 lbs being my goal weight, and will adjust as I go.

Hiii!! Name is Amanda and I'm brand spankin' new to MFP. Hoping I get hooked and make it part of my everyday routine. Looking for some local support and/or friends in the area.
