  • My 2nd Wedding Gown fitting is June 15th! 2nd Wedding is July 31st. Ordered my gown the weekend everything started closing in 2020. Finally picked up Jan 2021. It didn't zip; had about 2 inches to go. At my 1st Fitting at the end of April, it zipped! But was still a tiny bit snug. My seamstress is awesome and said no…
  • Given how much wear the clothes get, I prefer to invest in great sports bras from Lane Bryant (my personal favorite is the zip front racer back). You can find places to buy these for a lower cost like ebay or Poshmark. I also like to invest in good bottoms, mostly black capris. Then I play around with tops from anywhere,…
  • i'll join! need it to get back on track after vacation!
  • Hey! I'm 30, never married and no kids. I imagine we'll get married sometime after I finish college next year; been with my man for 6 years. But don't judge your life by comparing it to others. Send me a friend request!
  • If you are spiritual/religious or just plain open-minded, I suggest reading the following books so that you can answer your own question yourself, from within instead of trying to apply other people's opinions/lifestyles to your life. • Love this! It's the truth!!!
  • I have 100+ to lose, so I definitely know how you feel about not being able to do an exercise the way a thin, fit person can. But don't even try to! You will drive yourself crazy, maybe start to feel bad, and can hurt yourself. Just do what you can. Start by walking, using the elliptical, or if you have access, a pool. In…
  • I always get a 6 inch wheat, turkey w/ provolone toast, lettuce, tomato, onion, spinach, cucumber, green pepper, salt, pepper, oregano, and fat free ranch or honey mustard. I think it's about 300 calories based on Subway's website.
  • Just like in any addiction, depression, etc, when someone is fat, they might say they are confident on the outside, but really deep down inside, or perhaps subconsciously, there is an underlying issue.
  • I don't know your stats, but if you are going to eat 1600 calories, then can you exercise more so you can still lose?
  • You can add me! I have about 130 lbs.
  • YoGo Crazy Yogurt! Do you have one near you? It's fun, tasty, and a heck of lot healthier than ColdStone.
  • 1 is too many but 10 is not enough. I agree, I just don't buy those foods I know I can't control myself around, like ice cream.
  • You may have just lost water weight. Don't get down about it, just keep going. Also, how long ago was your first loss? Clothing companies have changes the way clothes are cut. Therefore, things from years ago compared to something int he same size today will fit differently. This is especially true if you are plus size. It…
  • I asked my trainer how I could better tone the thighs and butt b/c I feel like I wasn't working them enough during regular workouts. He suggested 100 squats every other day. There are tons of videos on YouTube showing how to do all different kinds of sqats, especially to target the inner thigh. Good luck!
  • If you're not trusting the calories that MFP provides for you, I would suggest logging everything you eat and all of your exercise to get an accurate account of what you are actually doing. (Keep in mind that for exercise calories, you should get a heart rate monitor b/c the numbers on any website are just estimates.) From…
  • Before I started back to school I owned a plus size only consignment store. So you could try consigning and make some extra cash to buy new things. I still sell things online for some clients; you could try this. Although, if you are not used to selling online, you may find it to be time consuming. Donate. So many people…
  • I only catch it once in a while. I assume they want to cover the excess skin b/c that wouldn't make good tv.
  • I have been using mine for a few weeks now and love it! It makes a huge difference and is an eye opener of just how bad I have been over eating still. PS - If you're going to be that mindful of that food you are eating, I recommend that you get a heart rate monitor to accurately measure the calories you burn working out so…
  • Let me be honest. I have the polar strap which I find to be very cozy. It's a wide band, adjustable. I tuck it under my bra just b/c I don't want to slide. (Not saying it slides, I'm just being OCD.) My boyfriend finds the strap to ok. Then again, he's never worn a bra, so he isn't used to the idea of a strap around his…
  • I have the Polar FT4, love it. It does just want I need it to do (track heart rate, calories burned, and keep record of it.) The strap is very comfortable. I usually tuck it under my bra and forget it's there. I got mine at www.heartratemonitorsusa.com. It was $65 on sale and I got the strap for FREE. The strap I got goes…

  • Ditto! Why can't the belly fat go first!!!!
  • Just curious how tall you are??? You look awesome and it's such an inspiration!!!!
  • Every body is different and so BC will affect everyone differently. For me, it doesn't make a different. For some of my friends, it provides some issues. Although everyone here has their opinion, the best thing to do is to talk to your doctor. Keep a food journal (as I imagine you are on here), be 100% honest in it. If you…
  • You go Girl! Keep up the good work!!!!!!!
