Welcome back. Congratulations on the weight you've been able to keep off. That is an accomplishment. I've been in MFP for over 5 years, sometimes more faithfully than others and the same thing with for be that works for you - honest logging. I'm always looking for new friends. Feel free to add me.

Been there, done that. Over and over in my life. It may sound trite, but this is the only day you have so try not to dwell on where you were. Just eat less today. Move more today. Drink lots of water. Say nice things to yourself. We're all here because we struggle with food. Use us to help you. And good luck!

Goals? What a novel idea! Maybe that's what I needed for motivation. Newbie or possibly returning group member. Still maintaining a 40 lb weight loss after 4 years - but it used to be 50, so need to diligent. Gale (WY)

I live in Bedrock but would be happy to be friends from here :) I've had a lot of success on MFP and friends make a big difference. Best of luck to you.

I know how you feel - definitely 'been there, done that.' Just try to let it go. Tomorrow is another day. Keep logging, keep posting. You will overcome.
-
Hang in there. You know how to do this. Are you logging all of your calories? We've all been there. Just take it a bite at a time. Feel free to add me!

Welcome and good luck. Feel free to add me. I've had a lot of success here but we all need more support.

Welcome and good luck! Shorter than you and older but have had great success here. Feel free to add me.

Carrots. I love them. I eat a lot of them. Lost the weight I needed to and have maintained for over three years. Lots and lots of carrots. Not logging them is a secret little gift I give myself. But not a secret any more.

Welcome and good luck ! Feel free to add me.

Log everything - before it goes into your mouth, if possible. And RIDE your bike or run or sing - anything but eat when you aren't hungry. Stick with it and good luck!

Personal experiences only - I have lost about a ton of weight in my lifetime and my friends and family have heard about every diet under the sun and how this new program was going to change my life. And then I would regain the weight. So when I started MFP, I was pretty quiet about it. I didn't tout it as a miracle cure or…

Welcome back. Good luck. It works!

Good luck to you. MFP is a super tool and I hope it is as helpful to you as it has been to me. I'm on the other end of things - my last two children left home for college this year. But I'm short, too, :) and have struggled with my weight most of my life. Feel free to friend me!

Been there. Done that. Like many others, the accountability of logging seems to be the only thing that really helps me avoid more frequent occurrences.

You have a good start! Give yourself credit for what you have done. Stick with it and the numbers will change.

My thoughts exactly!

Do you have a smart phone? There are many apps to track steps.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to ride my bike on a regular basis.

This is a good step! And I agree with the previous posters - log, log, log. It is when I don't record everything that I get into trouble. And it helps me to record before I eat instead of after. Not only can I see the impact of the food, but it causes me to pause just a minute before doing so and occasionally I'll decide…

As long as I continued to eat at my set level and get a bit of exercise, I never faced a plateau. When I got complacent and started eating a little more and a little more, that led to a plateau. Having 'dieted' many times in my life, I feared a plateau as well but turns out, in my case at least, that as long as I'm…

Your story is mine! Thanks for the post. It helps to have friends.

I'm 5'. Started a little over two years ago at 177. Lost almost 50 lbs the first year. Have not only kept it off, but have also lost a few more pounds this past year. Always ate all my exercise calories back. Feel great. Good luck. It is so worth it.

What great success! I fit the 3F profile. Have lost about 47 pounds and am very near my goal. Staying here until I make it!
-
A good year, indeed! Fabulous work.
-
No. But it is a lot of fun. And you'll get really accurate counts for your exercise calories. I eat all of mine back so I don't want to over estimate. PS - I got a FitBit for Christmas and it is even MORE fun than my old Polar Fit HRM!

Good luck to you. Replying so I can see responses.
