Training for a Half & Trying to lose 10 lbs - HELP

Hello, all...

My name is Jen, and I've been running for about a year. I have registered for my 1st half marathon, which is on March 16th, and have been training consistently, becoming faster and building endurance over time. The training is going well, but the weight loss is NOT. I only have 10 lbs left to lose, and those 10 lbs are VERY STUBBORN. I know that I would feel better and run a better race if I could lose some body fat, which I'm carrying mostly on my thighs, hips, and rear.

Today, I changed my goals to a 40/30/30 carb/pro/fat ratio, and I'm nervous .... Will I have enough energy to train as hard as I need to? Should I increase carbs on long run days? On days when I run threshold intervals? HELP!

Has anyone found a good balanced approach to training while trying to lose those last few lbs?

Thanks!

Jen
