  • Its something that you have to decide to do for yourself. I knew I needed to loose weight for several years. I kept telling myself that I was going to try, but usually quite after a couple days. About 4 months ago I started having chest pains, this was just a couple months after having a suspicious spot on my mammogram…
  • Wow! congratulations, you look gorgeous!
  • Are you measuring yourself? That is a better indicator if your exercise is working than the scale. Also, if you are only eating 1200 calories and exercising you may not be eating enough calories. 1200 is the minimum you should eat if you are sedentary, use MFP's calculator to figure the calories you should be eating. Your…
  • My son plays baseball and basketball. My daughter plays volleyball. We like to play badmitton and volley ball at home. Our favorite thing is to go hiking, we try to go once a week in the summer. They also ride their bikes a lot.
  • This is what I am waiting for! I'm more excited about getting my wedding rings back on than fitting into smaller clothes. I haven't worn my rings in 9 years! I still have a ways to go before I can wear them, but I can almost fit into some of my grandmother's rings that I got after she passed away 3 years ago. Keep up the…
  • My husband is the same way, he can eat a good loaf of bread in one sitting. I used to make homemade bread, but I don't any more because then I want to eat it too. Now we use Heiners low cal wheat, its 35 calories a slice. And I think it is pretty darn good.
  • What kind of candy are you craving? Have you met your calories for today? If I am under still and wanting chocolate I will eat one or two mini hershey bars. If it is just something sweet I will chew gum, eat a mint, or a sucker. I find it better to treat myself just a little. If I deprive myself I will end up pigging out…
  • I don't have much advice, I'm just kind of comparing what I saw in your diary compared to what I do (because I rarely feel hungry). First, rice krispie cereal for breakfast never works for me, its like eating air, I have to have something with a lot of fiber like raisin bran or oatmeal along with a yogurt. The other thing…
  • I used to use that excuse. And that is what it is, an excuse. I eat healthy now and so do my kids. I still eat cake at parties if I want to. If I don't want to (and I find stuff like that more and more sickening all the time) I say "No thank you!" Sometimes I do fix my kids something I know they like that is too calorie…
  • Wow! That looks like a lot more than 18! Great job!

  • Hi! I'm a 40 year old mom to three kids ages 7-13. I have been at this for close to 2 months and have lost 12 lbs. My current weight is 215 and I want to loose another 72 lbs. Feel free to add me!
  • I agree with everyone else. You have to do this for yourself. Look up the risk factors for being over weight. I knew them, but I didn't do anything about my weight until I started to experience them. High blood pressure, acid reflux, chest pains, suspicious mammogram, when I realized I killing myself by living unhealthy I…
  • I've lost 12, but I haven't noticed it in my hands. I've lost 1 1/2 inches on my waist, but my fingers are still chubby!
  • I am 5'5 and my goal is 145. I was, years ago, 128 and I looked terrible. I want to be fit and strong, not just skinny, so I will see what 145 looks like and then decide. I won't go below 130.
  • This is my reason also.
  • I'll send you a request. I will be 41 in July, mother of 3, working on my Masters degree in education. I have lost 12 lbs in about 8 weeks and have 70 to go.
  • You look awesome. I love you for posting your pics. I have been so unmotivated the last few days. I have 82 lbs to loose, I'm size 18 and would love to be an 8-10. Thank you so much!
  • Acid reflux can also do that. I had acid reflux for year without heartburn or any other kind of pain, I would just feel sick to my stomach a lot. I agree that you should talk to your doctor. Hope you are feeling better soon.
  • You can add me! It helps so much to log in here every day and have people supporting you. Welcome!
  • I've had this problem for a long time. Its even worse now that I am in college and get home after 9pm. I usually have a cup of hot tea and caramel or chocolate mini-rice cakes. Then I tell myself what ever I am craving I will have it for breakfast.
  • I think the difference if very noticeable. Keep up the good work!
  • I log everything. It would only be hurting myself if I lied.

  • I don't necessarily think it was her, I think that is what we are taught to believe. I never thought I could be thin again either. I was 227 when I came here and had a goal weight of 175 just because I thought that was the best I could do. After all I have had 4 pregnancies, breastfed 3 kids, I'm too busy to exercise, I…
  • I find that when I splurge I feel like crap. And a lot of the "bad" food that I used to enjoy just doesn't taste as good any more. I guess that is a good thing!
  • If you are going to start exercising you will need to up your calorie intake even more than 1200. I go by what MFP says, eat back my exercise calories and am loosing 1.5-2 pounds per week.
  • I have a couple. What spurred me to start this was thinking I was having a heart attack, so I just remember that day and that usually does it for me. The other thing is my graduation day next June, I want to be able to wear an amazing dress that day.
  • If you are working out in addition to eating healthier then you may be building muscle. I would focus more on measurements than what the scale is saying. I was stuck at -6 lbs for a couple weeks, but I had a loss of 1 inch around my waist and hips.
  • Come on over, I have plenty for all of ya to do! Just got finished cleaning, but not really finished because half the house is still a mess. Now getting ready to start working on a paper that is due Tuesday, probably will be working on that til after midnight.
  • I drink it first thing in the morning.
