Well, I've been having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions and they feel like period cramps to me. :) ETA just saw you had him so they must've been real contractions "

I'm coming to the end of my pregnancy (38 weeks 5 days) and I started out with weight to lose. I had lost weight pp using mfp and also maintained through the first trimester and was pretty careful through the second trimester. I have gained more in my third trimester so now I've gained about 30 lbs...more than I'd wanted…

I weigh weekly, but I'm still obese and really want to watch my weight gain.

Just saw your update! Glad it went well and hopefully you'll be able to decide on one. ;)

I went in with nothing...LOL. And I'm usually prepared, too. But as we talked I just knew I wanted her to be my doula. She was so passionate about it and just so sweet. I hope yours go (went?) well. :)

I was obese to start with so my goal is to not gain more than 20 lbs. I'm 14w5d and at 14 weeks I hadn't gained anything. I started eating a bit more this past week so I do expect a small gain on Monday. :)

We'll find out the sex in about a month, but so far for a boy we're thinking Elijah (my favorite) or Caleb. We haven't talked as much about girl names, but I really like Briella.

Basically this. This will be my first birth and while it will be in a hospital, it will be with a midwife that respects the way I wish to labor and give birth. I am a little scared and know it will hurt, but every day I become a little more confident that I can do it and that it's what I want.

LOL! Love it!

I haven't gotten an "official" EDD (go to the Dr on the 30th), but according to online calculators it's July 21st! I'm 5 weeks 2 days. My symptoms are tiredness and, um, sore boobs.

Yay!!! Great job!

I always ate all or most of them, but I already had my settings with a calorie deficit included. I lost 35 lbs that way. :)

I would maybe get a second opinion. Was there a reason you were told not to? I did some research and it seems nowadays it's recommended to continue exercise you're accustomed to. I have just found out I'm pregnant! I plan to continue a healthy lifestyle through my pregnancy.

You shouldn't be embarrassed, but PROUD!!! You've accomplished so much and you're an inspiration! I have a lot to lose (at least 80more) and it really inspires me to see success stories from people who have lost a lot!

Wow! You've both worked hard! That's a lot of weight between you two! Awesome!

Just because someone's a doctor doesn't mean they're always right. And it doesn't mean he's not right. But the fact that he didn't address you asking about seeing a nutritionist...it might be a good idea to get a second opinion. Do you have serious health issues because of your weight? I have about the same amount to lose…

I definitely agree that 1,000 calories a day is too low..and really low if she's active. But it sounds like you've tried. She may not listen unfortunately.

Ditto! I hope I look that good at 220! Great job!

Welcome! Feel free to add me! And btw, I do eat out sometimes. I think it's a part of life sometimes. Many restaurants have nutritional info online so you can plan ahead.
