  • Also, oddly enough, I discovered that the more I workout the less I lose as well. My body gets exhausted and everything seemed to happen slower. I found that when I cut back on working out, and ate at my BMR, I lost the most weight, consistently. I'd rather do 1 workout a day and really nail it, rather than force myself to…
  • It's very possible that you could simply just be lacking 'fuel' because of your worksouts. And, therefore have to eat more. I did the TDEE-20% method for almost two months and I lost weight the first and second week and then I just plateaued and I'm now back to the MFP + eating back some exercise calories method. It's…
  • I live with my family and all of them eat very unhealthy. So, there's always loads of cookies, cupcakes, pastries, you name it, floating around the house. It takes great motivation and 'will-power', if you will, to keep on track when you're alongside people who could care less about their diet. BUT, you just have to learn…
  • These sound good! I'm tempted to give them a try tomorrow! I don't like cooked raisins though, might try it with chocolate chips? How many cookies do you get in total?
  • Welcome back! Can't wait to see your progress :)
  • Calculate your TDEE-20% and that's what I'm eating while I do Insanity. Great results so far. Just make sure you wear a heart rate monitor so you know how many calories you're burning. That way if you burn a lot more a couple days you know you should eat slightly more. Just message me if you have any questions! :D
  • Thanks guys! I'll be definitely doing Insanity to the end and I'll also up my calories to 1600 a day and hope that breaks this horrible plateau!
  • Ah okay, that's unfortunate! Insanity is intense though, I can barely do it! If you didn't have a problem with Jillian Michaels' workouts, her series Body Revolution is great. I just finished that one before I did Insanity. It's a 90 day program and it's similar to the 30 day shred.

  • Will your back injury effect you for a while? If not, I'd say just run or something and then get into Insanity. I'm currently on day 5 and I LOVE it. It seriously kicks your butt though. Although every muscle in my body hurts, my back doesn't! You may be able to do it if you just modify anything strenuous.

  • Oh man, they are SO good.
  • Hey guys! So I did some experimenting today and revised the recipe to be as healthy as I can possible think of. Here's the new recipe: **Strawberry Oat Bars** -Ingredients- 1 cup (250 mL) all-purpose flour 3/4 cup (175 mL) quick-cooking rolled oats 1/2 tsp (2 mL) cinnamon 1/4 tsp (1 mL) baking soda 1/3 cup (75 mL) apple…
  • What are you doing for your weight loss? Just following the MFP guidelines? I hit a point where I plateaued and couldn't move forward, then I switched to the TDEE-20% weight-loss method and I've been losing consistently. Message me if you want to know more.
  • Cool, I'll have to try a few! I'm really just wondering if replacing the oil for more apple juice would work haha. I'll have to try it on my next batch to see! Let me know if anyone makes it with any of the suggestions!
  • That's what I'm trying to come up with a replacement for. You can certainly reduce it a little, but you definitely need the moisture to hold the bars together. I'm actually curious if adding more apple juice to eliminate the oil would work?
  • Absolutely normal! I know some people who gain upwards of 6-7 pounds right before their time of the month. Before I started with MFP I used to gain usually around 5 pounds right before my TOM would begin. But, since losing 19 pounds using MFP I now only gain around 2-4 pounds (depending on how bad I've eaten too).…

  • There are countless threads on here of people almost yelling at each other over the 1200 calorie diet, lol. I've been following the 1200 calorie diet since Jan 5 and I have lost 19 pounds. It works folks! In my opinion it's perfectly fine, UNLESS you are hungry throughout the day then yes, you need to up your calories.…
  • Here's my results after doing it everyday for 30 days! http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/956180-my-30-day-shred-results
  • I actually didn't log it in my exercise log because I honestly have no clue as to how many calories I really burned. I just figured I'd do it for the 30 days and if I lost weight and inches then I'd know it was working without logging, and it clearly was haha!
  • Ah, okay! I have about 18 more pounds to go so I'm hoping the Body Revolution workout gets it off fast!
  • I'm doing Jillian's Body Revolution!
  • Weird! I can't get it to show! But thanks!

  • Starting weight: 150 Current weight: 148 Lost only 2 pounds since week 1....slowly getting there I guess.
  • I'm basically 5'10' and my starting weight was 165, I'm currently at 147 and my goal weight by this summer is 130. When I first started I didn't really have a goal weight, I established that after I lost about 10 pounds and saw what '10 pounds less' looks like on me. I think baby steps is a great idea. Set a 5 or 10 pound…
  • Holy, nice work!! I'm on day 15 today and I certainly don't think I'll have that good of results! You look fantastic!
  • Starting weight: 150 Last weigh-in: 149 Current weight: 148.5 ...slowly getting there, haha
