I've been taking ideas from the salad bar at whole foods. When I'm in a pinch, I pay more and just use their precut goodies for my salads all week. Some things they have there: bulgur, sliced carrots, sliced beets, cabbage, beans, corn, swiss chard. I've found that if I can slice it really thin, almost anything can go on…

Joan, I'm new to this thread over the past 3 days or so, but it has been really helpful. I completely understand what you mean about staying on track for 3 days then losing it. We revert habits rather than willpower when things get stressful. I'm trying to think of other things to do than eat now... Today, - work out hard…

My day is done of today: - Walk outside- DONE! - Avoid sweets- DONE! It was hard today (the sweets part), but I just kept thinking- "it's just for today" so it didn't seem as daunting. Tomorrow, I will: - Avoid sweets - Focus and workout hard in my morning weights class

I love seeing these goals! I love the emotional ones, like staying positive, being happy. Important things to think about beyond just the scale and diet... Today was to not eat sweets or snack after dinner- achieved! Tomorrow: - Avoid sweets - get outside for a walk I think what helped me achieve the goal was working out…

Yesterday: I avoided "sweets" and after dinner snacking Went to the gym Just for today: 1. work out 2. avoid sweets What has helped me: well, it's the beginning of the week, so I'm always more focused, but I did put a calendar up on the fridge and am marking each day I go without sweets. Sugar is my downfall. And I don't…

I love this thread, so glad I found it, thanks for starting it, what a great idea! I have been up and down with the same 5 lbs for so long, and I really want a fresh start and commitment. Just for today I AM: - going to avoid my evening sweet treat binge - Work out (already done :) - track everything

No, but I did just discover Cook Smarts- google it. They provide meal plans (for a really small fee),and what's great is that they have already input all the calories and it links with MFP. I've done it for 2 months now and the meals are healthy, but tasty, easy to prepare, and kid friendly.

I"ll check out the youtube video, thank you "theskinnyonme" I do exercise, nearly every day, and certainly feel empowered and less anxious afterwards, but it's not enough. I did one of the hypnosis tapes last night and this morning...so we'll see how today goes. I'll take even a placebo effect! :)

This is a constant issue for me. I've gotten *better* but tt does depend on the night. The BIGGEST issue is meantally, I have to not talk myself into it. I usually tell myself "oh it's not that much" or "just tonight" or whatever. But I'm trying to be more conscious of my efforts. My biggest piece of advice is to create a…

Well, I'm trying to use the blender once and blend up a large number and freeze, avoiding that morning crunch time!

Sounds like it's not unreasonable, but I'm not missing any hidden things from the ingredients. I'm looking at it mostly for my kids (2 and 4yo) for on the go snacks, say over grahm crackers or with apples/bananas. Thanks for the input!

I make something very similar, and also HATE artificial sweeteners, try this, is is SOOO good, trust me! 2% plain greek yogurt- about 1 cup 1 cup frozen CHERRIES 1tsp cinnamon 1 tablespoon chia seeds somtimes I'll add 1 tsp coca power (pure)

I have tried these before for snacks, very good, need to try them for breakfast!

You're doing great! Weekends are difficult for me too, especially parties. I do better if I avoid wine and go semi full (like have a snack- apple and PB) before hand. It's tough, but think about how grea you'll feel waking up Sunday morning knowing how well you did!
