Goals for Fit bit?

I know everyone has slightly different goals, but I'm just getting used to my fitbit. what is the recommended amount of steps a day which is actually above a general baseline? Is it 10K? 5K?

    Goal #1

Choose one. Tory Burch or Rose Gold one.

    Goal #2

    Buy one.

    That's all I got.

The "experts" say you should move 10000 steps per day for health and 15000 to lose weight. But any movement more than what you are currently moving is an improvement and a good thing. Fit your goals into your lifestyle and just try to slowly increase additional steps every day.

10,000 steps a day is the (somewhat arbitrary) number recommended by professionals. I wouldn't call it a baseline, since it takes me conscious effort to get to 10,000 a day. Most people with lightly active jobs only clock around 5,000-7,000 steps a day unless they put in conscious effort. But if you wanted to go higher, I usually hit 12,000 most days and I think it's not that much harder than 10,000.

I would say a good average is 10k.

I found I had no problems reaching 10k, I moved mine to 12.5 and had no trouble either..then upped it to 15000 and for some reason I just felt I had to really work to get to that..so I'm back at 12.5 ...my average is 14k these days and I'm happy with that.
I've found that even if I get to 20k which I do some days that my TDEE never goes above 2700 and I'm hungry and need to eat! I feel at that point theres no point walking and walking when I'm just gonna need to fill my face more lol

Its about finding the right balance that suits you individually and Fitbit motivates us to get moving more :)

(ps I should say that I have a desk job so I do have to work for my steps out of working hours)
