  • What is LCHF?
  • Boo! Just thought I'd drop in and say hi and see what's going on around here. While I have not completely fallen off the wagon, I'm kind of hanging on with both hands and pushing off with my legs in an attempt to stay on! I hope you are all well and doing your best. I'll check back more regularly. I really need that…
  • I have enjoyed reading all the NSVs I've been missing! Way to go, y'all. (And I am really wanting to try Pilates.)
  • Maelyn, when you make your ticker at LilySlim, do you get to copy it and keep it or do you have to do it everytime??
  • My computer is fixed!! (fingers crossed). We finally gave up after 3 attempts at fixing it and just bought a new hard drive. Anyway, I'm sure I've missed a ton of stuff, so I'll try to get caught up. :)
  • I hope you do post it; I'd be interested in seeing it...maybe learn a trick or two.
  • Hello? Is anyone home? :) Hi. My name is LeAnna. I've been active on MFP for a little over a year now, and I've lost 70 pounds so far. But I'm losing steam and I've been stuck at 70 pounds lost for a while now. I've been thinking about carb cycling for so long and I figured it might just be time to try something new. A…
  • Unsticky them! Please!
  • Tara, you truly are making great strides. And you are right about the balancing act...I'm working on that right now.
  • Yay, Pixy! That is a big victory!
  • Tara, you will make it up. You've come so far and you will make this work for you. :)
  • With this new set up here on the boards, I'm not sure anyone will even see this, but here goes... I have hit the 70 pounds lost mark. This is a big deal for me...mentally and emotionally. I lost 70 pounds a few years ago and promptly freaked out and started regaining. I ended up nearly 10 pounds heavier than I began. This…

  • Can someone tell me if I've done something to change the appearance of this board, or is it different looking for the rest of you? I now have a section called "announcements" that is separate from the "discussion"...but I don't get any notices on the board that there are any new posts to the "announcement" topics.
  • Pixy, it sounds like you are going to be very busy for the rest of this month...just stop and breathe every now and then. :) Have you been doing karate for very long? A gazillion years ago I took karate, and I loved it. Hard to believe but I have a 3rd degree brown belt in Wado Ryu style of Shotokan. It's really good…

  • I always wear bandaids when I start out walking in new shoes...you just never know how they're going to do.
  • I was surprised to find the salads and soups, while sounding like the healthier choice, often are not when eating out.
  • When we go out, I try to stick with chain restaurants (won't be doing much of that in this small town), but generally, I do this...and I decide ahead of time what I'll order. When we get to the restaurant, I don't look at the menu and if I neglect to tell the server not to bring bread, the Mister will help me out by saying…
  • We hitched a ride today with some friends to the nearest town and stocked up on produce. (We ride scooters and have an ATV so going to a town of any size takes some planning for us.) I'll be rejoicing and dancing in the street when the farmer's market comes to town. :)
  • Pixy, so far I'm loving it. There is an adjustment as the town is so small the groceries are only small "mom and pop" type places and the produce is limited and kind of wilted looking. I'll have to find out what day is delivery day and be there. But I'm told that when the "snow birds" arrive, the farmer's market will open…

  • Hi, Elizabeth. It's nice to "meet" you and welcome to the group. I'll be happy to encourage you and cheer you along. You've done it before and you can do it again. Maybe it will help if you focus on the positive reasons for making these changes. It would be nice for your family to be proud of you, but for me, I've found…
  • I went by my old bead shop to say good bye before leaving town. I hadn't been in the store in a few months, and the lady who taught me to bead (the shop owner) didn't even recognize me when I first walked in the door. :)
  • Hi, sdejoh, and welcome to the group. What is your given name (if you don't mind me asking?) Good luck with the weight loss...it's a journey to be sure, and we'd like to cheer you on as much as possible. Just jump in on any topic and make yourself comfortable. :) Oh..I'm LeAnna, by the way. :)

  • So, we've made it!! 3 days/300 miles. I have never been so happy to see an unlimited water supply! And as grateful as I am to have a generator in the RV to run the AC, I do not miss the noise. Our new place is kind of cool. It's much smaller than where we were, but it's cozy. The town seems kind of funky and cool, but we…
