  • I have always increased my long run gradually and if I have been training for a specific event I have followed a plan but I don't do all my runs at the same pace. Long runs I do at an easy conversational pace and after a hard run I would do an easy/recovery run on the next session.
  • If you have a fibit doesn't it sort of do this for you - I ask because I have one and my calorie intake varies from day to day depending on how active I am
  • My first thought when I was reading your post was that your symptoms sounded like dehydration. The eight cups a day is really a minimum and for every hour of aerobic exercise I'm sure I was once told you should drink a 1 ltr of water. I use an app to remind me to drink and for my weight it recommends three litres per day.…
  • I've just had my gall bladder removed so I can empathise although mine tended to make me feel sick rather than cause lots of pain. I'm so glad i had it removed as I'm feeling so much better. When I was having chemo especially during the first week I had no appetite at all so I would have special meal replacement milk…
  • I started zen labs 10k program this week which includes E25k and B210k as I have entered a 10k in July. I've done the proram a few times before to get me started but it doesn't seem to get any easier does it? I was finding running for 1 min hard on my cardio fitness so trying too hard. You often think how this stage how am…

  • Stage 4 low grade ovarian cancer
  • Hi welcome to MFP I am also a cancer survivor I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer a couple of years ago and after surgery and chemo piled on the weight for various reasons so I'm trying to get down to my ideal weight and regain my fitness again. Exercise is also supposed to help fight the cancer.
  • I'm using runtastic with the bluefin podcasts because I'm doing a 10k in July but just listening to the Chubby Jones pocast and I quite like the music
  • I tend to use runtastic although on Sundays run/walk I thought I'd turned it on but I hadn't thought it was a bit quiet. Good job I had my garmin on as well. Well done on your 5k by the way
  • I did an 8 miles bike ride last week and used endomondo and it measured it as 8.75 miles also over estimated the calories burnt as well. Adidas Mi coach also allows you to create intervals if you want to track your walks and runs. I have a GPS watch as well as every running app going and every time I change from walking to…
  • Hi, I restarted the Ease into 5k yesterday I've done the C25k a few times. Its really good helped me to take up running 6 yrs ago. I haven't run for a while through illness and depression so I've lost some of my fitness and piled on the weight therefore I'm starting over again I've got a 10k in July so once I've finished…
  • Another one for Fetcheveyone.com and Lord Fetch would have your guts for garters if he heard you calling it a spin off from runners world lol
  • Is it an ipod nano 6th generation? That has the nike fitness program already integrated into the ipod. I used it on Wednesday and its pretty good. When you run don't go too fast just plod along at a pace that you can comfortably hold a conversation. Beware running can become addictive and soon you will be analysing your…
  • I'm looking for buddies as well to help me lose weight
  • I've just recently ditched my ww membership in favour of this site. I found it through an app for phone
  • I'm a regular runner and followed a 5k walk/run program to get me going. Do you have an ipod?
