Sounds great! I'm in. I have a vacation booked for May and definitely don't want to be this heavy and low energy for that. Fitness goals for 90 days – stay within my allotted calories 1400 calories. Beginner stats – weighed this morning and a terrifying 226lbs.

Id love some new mfp friends. Im at 220 and want to get back to the 140s....sigh. Ill be eating healthy, exercising regularly and getting back to doing the C25K which got me into running before I gained all this weight.

I found saving enough calories for a really good thermos of creamy hot chocolate at night/bed time...the good stuff not the light stuff...helped a lot.

I lost 62 then put 24 back on. Lower carbs ( not super low, just lower) and exercise are the key. I put weight back on very fast if I slack on either of these.

My first junk meal (Kraft dinner and 2 hot dogs) after eating healthy for months.... I puke for the rest of the night.

Ive read it has to do with sympathetic and parasympathic response. Not sure though...hopefully someone else has some better info.

I had my a** kicked by an 85 year old in the last 10k. Awesomely inspirational...but still....I must have some room for improvement despite my ripe old age of 34 ; )

From things Ive read, I've been under the impression its not good to run every day, that you need a rest day in between. Is this not right? Kind of changes everything...

If you like it then its worth it. I was a sprinter too. Never endurance. Just a little piece of my experience.... I also started with the C25K A YEAR AGO and I have only broken 5k in under 30 minutes once. When I started I couldnt run from telephone pole to telephone pole. Now 9k is a fun run. C25k got me started. I couldnt even walk at a decent pace for more than a minute @216lbs. Here are my tips. 1. Stick with it. 2. Is there a way to determine how fast you should be running if you dont use a HR monitor? I average 6'1 - 6'3 /kilometre,,,but speed has stalled. I've repeatedly heard run slower longer but not sure how slow I should slow down to for my long runs. THX!

I'd respect and love him even more for being so committed to his family. You cant ask what number rank you come in in his life. Of course his kids will always be first, if he is as awesome as you say he is. You are girlfriend, maybe even wife one day, they are his kids, apart of him, its different, you cant compare.

People tend to lose weight pretty fast in the first couple/few weeks. 6lbs in 2 weeks doesn't sound that off to me. If you are worried you can eat back some or all of your exercise calories.

I LOVE my Nike + GPS watch. Sometimes I wish you could use it for more than just running....but I love it anyways. I bought a Garmin 410 (before the Nike) and the screen froze after 3 days...never had problems with my Nike. Yes, its basic and thats great by me : )

Agree, boobies are gone. Wedding rings got too big so I cant wear them, however, without them I've been asked out...twice <awkward! Also, cold all the time but I thought that was from drinking so much water, so Ive switched to warm water to see if that helps. Also, sitting on hard chairs, the padding around my tailbone…
