  • Mine is locked because I'm doing this for myself, not other people. It's nice that some people don't have theirs locked so that I can get ideas, but I don't eat clean and if I wanted a guilt trip about what I eat I'd talk to my mother more often.
  • I don't drink milk often, but when I do it's whole milk. Whole milk is the only one that tastes full, creamy and not watered down to me. My fiance likes it in his coffee instead of creamer and he likes whole as well. I'd like to try almond or soy milk, but have never had the chance.
  • Anything with Aspartame in it gives me headaches for some reason. My favorites have always been the shake weight and body wraps. Haha, or those contraptions that move your body for you that supposedly help you lose weight and/or build muscle even though you're not actually using the muscle to move. Also that you have to…
  • Hi, everyone! I'm glad to have found a group for walkers, since this has always been my exercise of choice. There are a lot of really big hills where I live, and no sidewalks, so I'm not able to walk as far as I'd like just yet, but I'm hoping to get there soon! :]
  • I prefer mid-day or early evening workouts. I like to go out while the sun is still up, but I have a hard time getting motivated for anything in the morning, so I take it easy. PM workouts seem to help me relax in the evening and expel any extra energy I might have and it helps me sleep better.
  • I don't but I should. I have a fishing knife I've considered bringing along, but I think I'm going to purchse some dog mace or something. I live in the middle of nowhere but the community is pretty close-knit. I always walk and jog during daylight hours, and the only thing I'm really afraid of around here is that sometimes…
  • I decided to set my goal weight at 135lbs because I figured it'd be a healthy and do-able weight for me (I'm 5'6"). Throughout high school and college I weighed 120, and while I'd like to get back there eventually, 135 is a happy weight for me to have in sight.
  • Mmmmm, wine. I love wine. I haven't bought any in a while because a few weeks ago my fiance and I drank three bottles in two days. Oops. But it was soooo good! I have some wine coolers in the fridge, but I don't like them as much and they last a lot longer. I'll have one with dinner here and there.
  • Wow, how'd I miss this thread? I've been a fan of metal for as long as I can remember. Slipknot, Metallica, Lordi, Deathklok. I like working out to Dragonforce; keeps me moving at a good pace. However, driving to Dragonforce has gotten me into trouble lol.
  • I'm 5'6" and my goal weight is 135. I'm hoping to eventually get back to 120, but once I get to 135 I'm going to focus more on toning than losing. I always wondered about larger/smaller framed people. My sister (5'5") and I weighed about the same for years, but could never wear each other's clothing. Although we were about…
  • Once every day or two out of curiosity. I just bought my scale so I'm still getting used to it and trying to figure out all of it's features. I don't record my weight until Sunday though.
  • I've been slowly starting to increase my water intake lately. I've never been someone who gets thirsty very often, and more times than I can count I have to force myself to drink a little here and there because I can't remember when the last time was that I drank anything. I've been trying to get myself to drink more water…
  • Lot's of good foods mentioned here. Thanks everyone, you gave me some good ideas of things to add to my grocery list for tomorrow. :] So far my only "staple" has been steamer bags of frozen veggies. Though I don't like to microwave them in the plastic bag they come in, so I usually wind up steaming them myself on the stove.
  • Wow, thank you all for the support and helpful suggestions. I feel like I've come to the right place. I don't really have many people in my life that can give me support and direction when it comes to a healthy lifestyle. Tomorrow, my journey begins, starting with a long walk and a trip to the grocery store. :]
  • Push-ups. I get bored just staring at the floor and I've never really had the upper arm strength to do them so they hurt.
