Are they pricey (trainers)?

NSV?

Wow-that seems totally obvious to me now! :blushing:

I agree-it is interesting, and I like noting things that throw it off (salt, water, etc). But I was really bummed until I measured myself-won't let it bug me so much next time!

Thanks,ladies! :flowerforyou:

I would drop my daily calorie goal and add 15-20 minutes of exercise (or more). See what happens. One other thing, I know that the scale can reflect stuff that happened days and days ago (if you had an off day). It's been said a lot on here-weight loss isn't linear. Maybe all of your hard work will show up soon. Hang in…

LMAO!!!!!!!

That's what I'm having-but maybe with a plash of lime. I'm feeling sassy. :drinker:

Speaking of magic and smoothies..... What is everyone's opinion of the Magic Bullets? I've heard great and not so great things about them. Would love to make smoothies glass by glass with little clean up, but don't want to invest if they are too flimsy to be worth the purchase.

I'm with most people-I weigh every morning, but don't freak out over little changes. The other morning I weighed myself, went back to sleep for two hours, and woke up and weighed again. Somehow lost two pounds just sleeping/!!! I find it interesting, but I only focus on my weekly weigh ins.

120 minutes-hit the 60 minute limit, stepped to the dreadmill to the left, and did it again!

Agreed. I actually add 200 cals in snacks every day, just to be safe.

Gotta love any thread that receives Hitchhiker's Guide references!

Screw the scale-listen to the body. And the looser clothes.

I've found no real difference with food. Hydration shows up right away on my scale, but not food (with the amounts I am eating).

Been a runner for years, but had to take some time off after an injury. Now that I am back at it, the best thing I can say is promise yourself you will run 30 minutes, 3 times a week. No mileage goals, no initial PR stuff. Just do it. One of the days you go down you will run for an hour, or put in a couple of extra days,or…

I would look at it differently. There is a medical condition called "trapped in syndrome". I've cared for a few of these people over the years. Scariest thing I can think of- these poor people cant move,or talk but they can hear, think, feel. They can only just lie there and have the world happen to them.<<<Shiver>>> Feel…

If you are not used to working out 6 days/week this might be a little heavy at first. GIve yourself a couple of rest days, listen to your body so a pesky injury doesn't take you out. Other than that, sounds great (especially the dog walking part!).

I have been checking the database, finding my food, same serving size, but when I plug it in many times it is more than what I am looking at in my hand (on the package). I chalk it up to margin of error.

Oh, that guy. I sent my friends to collect my records ,then I changed my number... :glasses:

Great ideas. Thanks all!

That is brilliant-reading through it with coworkers, and we all started "singing" it. I only wish I had this kind of computer talent (not to mention free time!). Thanks!

Yeah-the RR forums can be pretty brutal. I think a lot of the veterans troll the beginner's forum and bash people. This is a much friendlier site. Another thing-with the RR approach I was always worried about time and mileage. Since I've hung out here, I now just promise myself 30 minutes of running, at least 4 times a…
