Yum! Homemade pizza. That's a great idea. I've had an aversion to poultry for the past week after this disgusting chicken salad sandwich I made from a can of chicken packed in chicken broth...ugh. I'm making stuffed zucchini for dinner tonight...its kind of bland, which is my favorite flavor right now!

Found out a couple weeks ago that I am pregnant for the first time ever! It was such a shock to see those two lines on the test...I've taken so many pregnancy tests, but never got a positive, so I was floored. I'm 6 1/2 weeks now and I have my first appointment on August 9th. I'm feeling slightly nauseous all day and no…

Ok, 1) You look amazing 2) That is super bad *kitten* that you just put that ground hog down! You are one serious cowgirl. ;)

I'm right there with you on the struggling to find motivation. I just try to take it one day at a time. In the morning before I've eaten anything, I say...."I'm gonna do great today and at the end of the day, I'm going to feel proud of myself."

Love this!!

Yes! I have totally experienced this. I never had a HRM, but my BMF usually gives me a number closer to 300 cal/hr. But it works out in the end. How many calories does the BMF tell you that you are burning every day?

WOW! This is amazing!

I don't think there will ever be a time when I get past my experience and don't look back. I agree that my tendency to become mentally unstable when I'm stressed and tired and haven't eaten (for 3 days) is something that I will have to deal with for the rest of my life. But I think that everyone in the world has issues…

Ok, one more thing... This video is a 20 minute lecture in a mini series. by Dr. Brene Brown. I don't exactly know what she researches, but I found this to be very insightful. My favorite quote starts around 15:43... "The problem is that you cannot selectively numb emotion." I was on medication and everything was numb.…

I guess what he (and I) have a problem accepting, is the idea that mental illness is something that cannot be cured. But I think cancer is an excellent analogy. They haven't given up finding a cure for cancer...I think there is a cure for mental illness. I consider myself to be in "remission" from mental illness. The…

That's really cool and I think adds a lot to this discussion, although I don't really have anything to respond to it.

OMG....too funny. Yes, he would have a field day on this topic. OP: I'm not trying to have an argument with you, but insulin is a horrible example. I met a guy who wears a box on his hip that gives him insulin and he said he just puts in the food he wants to eat. He said, "If I want to eat a bowl of rice, I just put the…

Here is my experience with Bi-Polar Disorder: In the summer of 2007, I had a manic episode that put me in the hospital for 1 month. During the month that I was in the hospital, they thought I was schizophrenic...but as I got better, they changed the diagnosis to schizoaffective...and finally, once I got even better they…

This is a huge motivation to lose that last 20 lbs! Even 1 pound would make a huge difference.
-
Go get it! P.S. You're gorgeous!
-
Wow! That's an amazing difference! Even though I know weight lifting can change your body drastically, its crazy to me that you've only lost 4 pounds! This is so inspiring!
-
Oh my god...this is AWESOME! I love your response...good for you for putting her in her place. She probably thought she came out on top of that argument since she was obviously an idiot...but clearly you are in the right. This got me fired up for the morning...thanks! :smokin:

I eat very clean, whole ingredients. I try to make as much at home as possible and when I buy packaged foods I read the labels religiously. Like you said, this isn't necessarily going to affect your weight loss at all. I managed to stay over 200 pounds for 4 years eating clean foods. Pints of ice cream made with all…

Wow! I'm surprised by these answers! If I didn't have new clothes along this journey to encourage me and make me feel good, I probably wouldn't be as successful as I have been. But I haven't been shopping at any stores besides thrift stores/friends' closets. I have been buying my jeans at target though (because a…
