O my gosh I have this argument with my boyfriend constantly. I work, go to school, do homework, cook dinner, do the laundry, clean the apartment, do the dishes, and have to find time to work out on top of that. He goes to work and comes home and asks what is for dinner. Then plays xbox all night..... GAHHHHHh
That's because you allow him to do that.
I don't have any married or attached guy freinds that do that, or could get away with it.0 -
In a way men have it just a little easier. But women are just more awesome in general because we just are.0
-
Ladies, do you ever think "why do men have life so easy?"
Well i do! and these are some of the topics i think about..........
Getting dressed, taking a shower, peeing, dating life, s*x, loosing wieght, and soo much more!
if you would like to comment or extend on one of these topics or another feel free, because i hope its not only me!:ohwell:
OK, I have to defend the male sex here. I respectfully disagree. Men, for the most part, are simpler creatures. We want sex, food, and entertainment, not necessarily in that order. But we don't have it any easier. For example...
1. Getting dressed? That is as tough or as easy as you make it. You girl types have far more choices and freedom in clothes (and you use it) so don't come complaining to me. Guys could care less if you wear jeans and a T-shirt.
2. Showering? Last time I checked it wasn't that different. OK, leg shaving maybe, but that doesn't look all that hard.
3. Peeing? OK, you got me there. It's nice to be able to pee anywhere. But, for the record I have known some women who can and do pee anywhere when necessary - just as easily as any guy. You just have to overcome the social programming, suck it up and do it. Ladylike? Maybe not, but it gets the job done in a pinch. What can I say, I have known some outdoorsy girls.
4. Dating? Sorry, women have it waaaaay easier. You get to sit back and watch us put ourselves out there, and then you can either reject us, string us along, or invite us over. You can play hard-to-get or be agressive. All the leverage is on your side. When is the last time a guy asked you out and you ended up changing his oil, uncloging a pipe, or moving his couch?
5. SEX? Nope, you have it easier there too. For all the reasons as number 4 above, you can be coy or agressive and we love it either way. For all the physiological reasons mentioned by others, your equipment works just as well in bed if you know what you want done with it. We mostly just want sex and food, which is why women mostly rule the world.....:grumble:
6. Weight Loss? OK, maybe, but we also put it on just as fast. And, we get it all in the belly, and women seem to spread it around. Add that to the fact that most men have no idea how much women weigh (or should weigh) anyway, and that is mostly a self-critical illusion, not reality.
7. Childbirth? OK, you win here. That is not for the feint of heart. My hat's off to all mothers. I am glad I am a guy and won't ever have to do it
As with all free opinions, it is worth what you paid for it!0 -
I think MEN have it easier......Women ...yes they get the joy of having the baby...but afterwards...we are soo stress out about our bodies and the guys go on with their day, while looking at all the hot cuties around us.
We also pay alot of bills, get our oil changed (Jiffy Lube Ladies Day)...When men get sick...they are such a baby...well guess what we have our little baby and our big baby....
I think MEN have it made....0 -
ummm, the have to deal with us crazy *kitten* biotches...I dont think they have it so easy....0

I am a stay at home wife, no kids yet. My husband goes to work everyday and I manage our home. He wakes up every morning at 5am and takes a quick shower, throws on his clothes, eats a power bar and goes to work. I have a leisurely morning, drink my coffee make a nice warm breakfast check my email/facebook/MFP....then I workout, then I take a shower or nice long bath with incense and sea salt....then if I decide I want to get dolled up, I take about an hour getting ready. Our lives are definitely different...and I'm not trying to be a man....but I certainly love being a woman! :-D0
-
I'd like to add that most of womens issues start with "men"
- we have MENstration
- then we go through MENopause
- and we have to see a GUYnocologist
hahahahah ^^^^ THIS!!!!!0 -
It's not that easy for men. Women are freaking INSANE! And they put up with our BS. They love us through it, and come out half beaten up and bloddied on the other side... But they stick around.

I have been married for 18 years. I still can't come home secure in the knowledge that I am not going to get verbally eviscerated about something that I don't even know anything about. I love my wife, but after 18 years, nothing I ever do is good enough. I can do something the same way for a week, and everything is fine, then the 8th day, it can be the crime of the century. I might wear an outfit one day, and be told that it looks great, and two weeks later I am told that the exact same outfit does not go together. My hair is too long, so I get it cut, and its too short. My shirt needs to be ironed, even when it just came from the cleaners with military creases. I spend all day painting, and get bitched at about why I did not cut the grass....or I cut the grass, but lose because I did not clean out the garage. I am accused of ogling women at the grocery store, that honestly, I did not even look at or know what she is talking about. I work two jobs, sometimes three, I do a great percentage of the housework ( all the laundry, half the cooking, 80 % of the dishes, all of the yard work, home maintenance....make the bed every day, clean the showers every week)....do not go out drinking, spending money, etc. When I am not working, I am home or with my family. I have not had sex in 4 years as of February 7, and have not had a BJ since April 1998.....and I have it better than her?
Try again OP. You lose.0 -

Well, I don't mind being a woman for the most part. There are things that are deifnitely better to be a man for...but then same goes for being a woman.
For example... most women don't have to worry that when they take their shoes off that the smell will clear the room....
We never had to worry about carrying around a binder for any any surprising pop-ups....
If a ship sinks, women and children get to get off first....haha0 -
i do agree that men have it easier when it comes to weight loss and i actually think men can get away with being chubbier when it comes to dating - don't you see a lot of chubby guys with thin, pretty girls? i do. maybe that's just my area.
I need to move to where you are. That's unheard of here. Maybe it's that I live in a college-oriented town.
I dont think its un-heard of, I personally prefer a guy who is NOT a stick, I think bigger guys (to a degree people, come on) are sexy. I havent always thought this way, but since I was about 18 I have, probably bc it was the first time I dated someone bigger, if they can carry it right, I think its super sexy!!!!!!! They have more personality bc they dont have huge ego's and I have found biggers guys to have a sweeter disposition!! I'm not saying guys with muscles arent hot.. Bc come on... they so are!!0 -

i don't think you can blame women for that. that is your wife in particular. not all women are like that. you chose to be with her which means that you accept all of this, especially since you've been together for so long. if you stay - she thinks it's okay.
and no sex in 4 years? wow.0 -
So I guess I should now give my opinion:
I hate having periods and I'm dreading having a kid (aside from the fact that I don't have to have one, yes I know, but I do want one, but I dont want to pain associated with it, ok?)
But I LOVE being called beautiful by a guy and I love when guys find me attractive. I love dressing up and feeling beautiful. So that's what its like being a woman, ha and I don't mind sitting down to pee... sorry for all the girls who thinks its unfair that's how we are made...
I love that my bf mows the lawn, kills the bugs, cooks me dinner (well, we share this part) will change my oil if I ask, knows how to fix, install, work-on, change... everything and anything having to do with tools and all that with our house.
But its better being a girl... Just like HauteP1nk said: Woman and Children first during a crisis right??? HAHAHA0 -

I am not blaming women...I am just saying that you can't make a blanket statement saying that men have it better. Some men do.......some women do. Sometimes when you make a vow, and say "I do", it means that you have to pick up your cross and carry it. And you carry it through the good, the bad, and the crazy. But again, don't lump all men together.0 -

Wow...sorry to hear that man. Most women would show appreciation for a man that does cooking and laundry0 -
The only time I can ever remember wishing I had been born a dude was when I was 12 years old and was sentenced to 40 years of monthly inconvenience. Beyond that, I'm pretty happy about being a woman. Yes, there are parts that suck, but I wouldn't trade places with any man. Men are ruled by their penises, which pretty much means that men live at the mercy of women.0
-
I'm going to disagree, women can go to a bar/club without any money and still drink haha...0
-
Well you have a piont but there are some benefits of being a man, like giving birth and all that hard stuf
So agree with this^. I wouldn't have traded my husband the privilege of literally growing my child inside of me and giving birth to her (even if it was a C-Section). I know that I created her life......all he did was provide the DNA.0 -
OK men's showers are easier because they cna be in and out in a 5 minutes. For me to washa nd condition my hair, soap up, wash my face and shave half my body takes me over 20 mins.
I wish I could jump in the shower, lather my body in one product, rise and hop out like my boyfriend.0 -
Ladies, do you ever think "why do men have life so easy?"
Well i do! and these are some of the topics i think about..........
Getting dressed, taking a shower, peeing, dating life, s*x, loosing wieght, and soo much more!

I think they do in terms of childbirth lol. I thought I was dying! They should count themselves lucky they don't have to go through that pain! When you go through that, you realise walking into a door is a walk in the park compared to that lol:(0
-
I've never had trouble peeing, and sex is supposed to be fun, if not you got issues. Showering hard? Why? I spend far less time getting clean than my husband does. My 15 minutes vs his hour? I think i have less difficulty. I wash my hair, body, face, shave and i brush my teeth in there. And i have a massaging showerhead...and childbirth does not hurt that bad. I can give you several instances of worse pain.0
