After losing weight, how often do you shop now???

Mainly this question is for the people who've lost at least half their goal weight and who has had either an increase or decrease in their shopping expeditions.

Okay, so I've always loved shopping. Before I lost the weight (I was a size 20 dress) I would shop every 5-6 weeks, I'd say. Mainly because my clothing choices were limited since I like trendy/fitted clothing and there were very few options in that size. During my weight loss, it slowed down to none at all until I lost 40 pounds. From then to 60 pounds, I was shopping monthly. After losing about 60, I've been shopping every single week. I love how many options I have now and it's hard to go 1 week without buying at least 2-3 dresses for work and play. So yeah, I shop weekly for clothes, and every 3-4ish weeks for shoes. Oh, and I'm currently a size 12 dress (but those are starting to get loose, yay!).

So, after losing a decent amount of weight how much shopping do you do now compared to before?

Honestly I don't. I now am to the point that a 30 in pants and a small/medium in shirts fit and I just yank the belt tighter on my 34/36 pants and my L/XL shirts. I have other priorities for my money. I could care less how my clothes fit.

I haven't even lost all the weight I want to yet (half way there) but I've gone a little crazy shopping. Sheesh! Mostly tops, because those are more forgiving, the pants will come later!!

I dont shop any more frequently. I dont like spending money on myself that much, so I will wait until I am at goal. I've bought just enough to keep me covered up and swiped stuff from my kids! Lol

I have not gone shopping for new clothes period... I am not wasting my money when I still have 40 lbs to lose. I have gone thrift store shopping because I was so desperate for pants that would stay up though.

I just bought myself some new jeans a couple of weeks ago because my 20/22s were too baggy... ended up with 16s! Felt great :) I still have 40 lbs to go, and I am *so* looking forward to shopping my new size, whatever it ends up being. I realized this afternoon that I could probably start shopping in the regular size sections (no more plus-size ghetto -- yay!) but I don't think I'll make any more major purchases until I'm closer to goal. My 1x shirts (vanity sized) are baggy, but still wearable, and there's no point in buying between-sizes winter stuff since I'll be at goal next winter. But I can totally see shopping way more often than I do now, because I'll be able to go to *any* store and buy clothes, not just the specialty ones. Thrift shopping will be a lot more fun, too.

I shop as needed. I have never been really big on buying for myself. I love giving not receiving! LOL But I did buy new jeans because my size 14 weren't cutting it! I moved onto a size 8! =0) I still have another 34 pounds to go! =)

Since I started dropping inches (I've lost more inches than weight) Express quadrupled my credit limit, I'm now in there at least once a week... Damn you, Express!

Wow! I'm surprised by these answers! If I didn't have new clothes along this journey to encourage me and make me feel good, I probably wouldn't be as successful as I have been. But I haven't been shopping at any stores besides thrift stores/friends' closets. I have been buying my jeans at target though (because a good-fitting pair of jeans is absolutely essential) and I was so surprised at how nice the jeans are for how affordable they are!! $27/pair.

Personally, when I reach my goal weight, I'm gonna have a STOCKED closet. I'll probably be constantly bargain shopping though...maybe $100 per month on average.

I love it! My best friend is more of a shoe shopper than a clothes shopper and I'm the opposite so I love it when other women like clothes shopping as much as me!

Congrats to your and everyone else's loss. Keep up the awesome work all!
