  • Hi from my great experience of 1 parkrun (!) at Albert Park last Saturday, a couple of people did walk and people stayed and encouraged them across the line. There were all types of people at the event - runners, joggers, walk/joggers and walkers. The organisers were very supportive and encouraging. Give it a go!
  • ps meant to say thanks for the words of encouragement
  • I completed my first parkrun today in middlesbrough  Everyone was really friendly and encouraging and will be back next week. The after run cup of tea in the cafe was well worth it.
  • I'm doing my first parkrun this saturday (7th July) in Albert Park in Middlesbrough after a few weeks of 'thinking' about it! The only thing that is putting me off is the weather forecast of torrential rain, so I thought if I publicly stated I was going to do it - I'll have to.......... Wish me luck! Anne
  • Hi Thanks for that, will make up my mind on Fri morning I think, if I'm going to run. Will just go on the bike this week. The great north run is on Sunday Sept 16th. So fingers crossed plenty of time to get the miles in and for my calf to get better.
