  • That's pretty good. They say that during each of your Insanity workouts, you could burn up to 1000 calories. I typically burn almost 800 during Pure Cardio and I'm usually working between 85-90% of my heart rate. Keep pushing yourself and great job!!

  • I did Day 1 of Core Cardio and Balance and I have to be honest...I was pleasantly surprised that I was sweating as hard as I was by the end of it. Nothing too tough and I engaged my core the best that I can... As much as I love the Insanity workouts, I'm feeling a little down about my weight loss.... Barely a lb loss. I…

  • We can definitely motivate each other! I'll be visiting friends and family while I start month 2. I already asked my dad if I could use his garage which he denied me soooo I'll have to think of something more creative that does involve doing an hour long workout in 80 degree temperatures

  • Hello Everyone :) Just joined this group for some much needed support for my second month!! Today starts Recovery Week and after some thought, I decided I'm going to do two-a-days (gym in the AM & Insanity in the PM) until I go out of town Thursday. I'm more than ready but also scared out of my MIND for month 2. :noway:

  • I'll admit I didn't follow the nutrition and did eat whatever I want but I didn't splurge on ice cream and donuts half as much as I thought about it. :/ I have before and after pictures from month one and I can see the slimming and toning happening but its not that drastic. Since today is the start of recovery, I decided…

  • Me too!! Did you see any results from Month 1? I had small changes but not that much on the scale :/

  • Google or YouTube Insanity workout. Its from the same company as P90X (Beachbody) and unlike P90X where you utilize weights/bands, Insanity is more cardio driven. Its really tough but such a great burn! I got my *kitten* handed to me big time in month one but I got some decent results.

  • I'm up for joining! I'm prepping for a Savage Race and Warrior Dash, both in May so I'm trying to lose around 10 lbs before May 11. Add me if you want as well. :)
  • 5 foot with GW 110-115 and hopefully most of my "assets" still in place :) Currently, I'm too afraid to weigh myself after the holidays but I'm guessing I'm around 120-ish after maintaining 115 for almost a year. Have some serious work to do before April-May! Good Luck everyone!
  • I've never hid the fact that I have a son since motherhood made me the person I am now. However, when it comes down to actually making a commitment after doing the whole dating thing for awhile, men want to use him as an excuse as if he hasn't been around the entire time... :grumble: Thankfully, I don't bring numerous…
  • Pre-pregnancy I was 126. I gained 25-30 lbs and the first 15 came off when I had him -- all 8lbs 10 oz of him. When I was exercising within the first year, I had all but maybe 10 lbs gone but then I struggled with my weight up until the last 2 years keeping me 125 or less and my son turns 6 in December :) I'm now 118. Good…

  • Thanks so much for the responses. I'm going to try different methods and see what works. I'm willing to make changes in certain areas to get to my ultimate goal but I have to say with the help of MFP and its community, I've come a long way from when I first started and its such an improvement. Either way, I'm happy :)
  • Its seems so strange to me to eat more than 1200 calories without working out. If I cook at home, its hard for me as is to get 1200 calories and I'm by no means starving myself. Now if I eat out... thats a different story altogether. I'll play with it to see. Btw, you have a rocking body! You're super fit! I wouldn't mind…
  • I love doing intervals and do them with my son when we walk (he likes to race). I try to eat at least 1200 if I'm doing any exercises. Is this ok? If I'm not working out, I try to stick to 1200 max or a little under. Doesn't always happen but I'm human. As for protein, I've upped my intake since I was told it helps with…
  • Thank you :) I'll give this a go for the next month and see if it helps. I don't expect immediate results but maybe less squishy would be great ha!
  • Let me expand on this... I don't do planks or ab exercises every day. I'll be the first to admit, doing core is not my strong point. I know there's PLENTY of room for improvement in this area which happens to be my weakest area. When I say I'm scared to lose more weight, I essentially mean 5 more lbs. I'm 117-118 now, I do…
  • Height 5'0 Weight 119-120 lbs Waist 26.5 (trying to get to 25)
  • Just measured today... 5'0, natural waist is 26 and about 2 inches under my naval I'm 30.5... I think I'm good :)
  • I was 21 for about 4 months before I got pregnant when I had my son... I would recommend waiting but I wouldn't change a thing. It has been one heck of a learning process; still learning. Now that I'm approaching 28 I feel more secure with my life and career choices and financially more sound than I was when I had him at…
  • I'm so glad this was started! 5'0, 124-125 lbs (I haven't weighted myself in a few days). I love my curves BUT not tummy at all... Here are my measurements as of June 2. Will update later :) Bust 34 Biceps 11 Upper Ab (Below Bra) 28 Mid Ab (Waist) 27 Waist at Belly Button 31 Lower Ab 32 Hips 34.5 Booty 38 Thighs 21.5…
  • GA girl :) I live in Northern VA now and it is NOT the south. Can't wait to move back!
  • I'm 5'0 even. currently at 123 with a goal of 115ish. I already wear a size 2-4 (I got a booty) and wear small shirts for the most part. I don't care if I reach my weight goal honestly, I'm moreso looking at my ultimate fat % (currently at 24%) and the last 3 inches off my stomach. THEY WILL NOT MOVE!!!! Any women out…
  • Today is L1D10 but I felt a bit discouraged after weighing myself this morning (still haven't done the shred for the day). I weigh about the same AND even went up in fat %. I don't get it. I don't know if I need to add even moer cardio when I already add walking/running in the mix some days... any advice anyone?
  • I just don't want to input too many calories if I haven't burned them... I'll see if i burn the same calories tonight and see what results going. Thanks so much for the reply!
  • Question for everyone. I've been entering my Shred on here as 20 minutes of Circuit training but I wore my HRM today and it said I burned 240 calories in that time. Which do I go by?
  • Did a short run this morning (included in ticker) but I might take a walk tonight after my shred workout :)
