  • Great thread as I just rejoined fitness pal about a month ago after doing WW for a whole year. That is $42.95 a month that seems like I just wasted. To me it was a lot of pressure to get weighed in every Saturday morning and I wasn't losing like I wanted, and yes I did follow the plan religiously. When you gained weight or…
  • I have hip bones and kneecaps!!
  • I had my meniscus completely removed last December. For me because of my weight and age the doctor decided to remove it entirely instead of repairing. Taking it out is less time to heal. My knee has bothering me again lately so I know what you are going through. I started the c25k program and had to stop because of my…
  • I also take a arginine supplement. I have a sluggish metabolism and using this natural instead of going on medication, which already have and made me sick.
  • Bingo folks: we have a winner!!!
  • Sorry but I don't think being 6 feet tall and weighing 196 pounds is overweight. My god: my son must be morbidly obese in your mind because he is 6foot 5 inches tall and weight about 245 lbs. Hmmmm..................
  • Hey everyone: hope everyone is doing okay. My legs are hurting from last night's body combat class. Okay when I move around but sitting for longer than expected and go to get up, ouch!! Tonight is Zumba< can't wait to shake my booty!!!
  • NSV: I am wearing a shirt that I haven't been able to wear in over a year. And it fits just great!!
  • Oh don't feel bad. Maybe your sodium was too high. I eat that way sometimes. I am a sucker for the flavored instant mashed potatoes, Can you say "HELLO SODIUM?' I just make sure I drink enough water to go with it.
  • Well I guess when I am up during the night I should join everyone for a nice chat here. Having trouble sleeping as well. My bones hurt and I have a million things on my mind. Does anyone believe that stress causes your body to retain water? I feel so bloated the last couple of days so I stepped on the scale this morning,…
  • John: I know the feeling. Last couple of nights have been terrible for me as well. And the last couple of days it has been harder to get up in the morning. Maybe it is because it is cooler outside and I want to stay under the warm blankets:) Lisa
  • I just recently starting taking Vitamin D, the liquid kind. One dropper full and I am done for the day. I take 5000 units a day.
  • Tuesday check in: So I have decided to stop doing the running program and will start it up once again when I lose more weight. My shin splints are really bothering and I have figured out that I can burn just as many calories doing a fast walk with varying speeds and inclines on the treadmill. I feel really great and the…
  • I struggled not losing and pounds for several months. Recently I have upped my calories because I do exercise 6 days a week. have lost 6 pounds in the past week so yes it does work!!
  • Good Morning Everyone: The weekend was nice. We made chicken kabobs and they were delicious. Quite the hit in my household. I reset my weight loss ticker for the first 80 pounds. I had previously 180 pounds to lose but that seem so much. Losing 80 pounds will take me down 250 pounds. After I reach that goal I will go for…
  • I joined MFP back in February, lost 32 pounds. Went off the wagon for a few months and gained some pounds back. I wouldn't call myself lazy as I was active in work and around the house. For about a month now I am back into the gym and it has become addicting the past couple of weeks. I have my hormone levels and metabolism…
  • Hi Robin: Lets see; 1. Lost 5 pounds this week 2.Wearing a size smaller in pants (NSV) 3. Working out 5 days at the gym I am good to go!! Lisa
  • I too suffered my hypothyroidism. The doctor put me on meds and wanted to up my dose, which was making my body just wacky. I went off the meds and am now taking natural supplements called arginine and tyrosine. They have helped rev up my metabolism and I have lost 5 pounds just this week alone. I am not telling you to go…
  • I know this problem all too well. My upper arms are huge and I as well hate wearing short sleeved shirts. My bottom part of my arm is pretty muscular. I am going to keep trying to reduce with strength training but considering the amount of weight I have to lose I may have to consider skin removal.
  • Coupled with my menopause issues and doing only cardio I wasn't losing at all. I have just incorporate strength training back into my exercise 3 times a week and have lost 5 pounds this week alone. I am lifting heavier weights as well.
  • Did you get the free dining promo? That is an awesome thing.
  • Creme Brulee? Yummy. I am a disney world fanatic as well. Going in October, can't wait.. Good Luck with the diet. I just don't overeat and you already can exercise by walking alot of miles there. Plus drinks lots of water. May I ask which resort are you staying at? A few of them have fitness centers.
  • Good Morning Everyone: Happy Friday. I am happy to report that I have lost 3 pounds. It feels so good after struggling all year. It seems though my natural supplements are working right, my metabolism booster and hormone stuff. I feel good today and can't wait til 5pm to come home for the weekend.
  • Robin: You are probably right. I have been hitting the gym alot lately. I went last Saturday til yesterday, five days in a row. I am exhausted but it seems like I am addicted to it. I guess there are way worser things to be addicted to than exercise. I am resting for two days.
  • Good Morning Everyone. Today is my break day from exercise but will get in some walking on my breaks at work. After work yesterday I headed straight to the gym to work on my c25k program then I took body combat. I was dying and so tired. But I made it through but didn't put my full effort into it. That's what happens when…
  • At least 2 servings a day.
  • I know the feeling. Recently I went to see my NP. She is faster to get an appt with than the Dr (same office though). The nurse weighed me in and all he could say is "Oh you need to start walking more, especially right after dinner time." Okay dude if you knew how much effort I put into exercising every day he wouldn't be…
  • If you are serious about losing the weight then you make time. Once you get into a routine of exercising it gets easier.
  • I love zumba!! It is totally a fun class and a great way to burn calories. When I first started I was a dunce but have kept at it for quite some time now. Great Workout!!
