  • I enjoy treats along the way...on other days I remind myself that nothing tastes as good as kicking butt feels...and then I go be awesome!! :-) It's pretty motivating when you are able to withstand temptation!! :-)
  • Welcome to MFP!! Feel free to add me as well!! :-)
  • Definitely work out in the morning...get your fat burning furnace turned up early...then eat a good combination of good carbohydrates and protein for breakfast...I like scrambled eggs and steel cut oats...and then a morning snack, a good sized healthy lunch...I try to eat more calories for lunch than dinner...and a light…
  • Feels sorry for you...proceeds to tell you how I have suffered from depression for the last 20 years due to major childhood trauma, tell you all of my meds I have taken, and that all of my doctors have told me that I am the most depressed person they have ever seen. I take full gratification in that knowing that I am the…
  • senses your half heartedness...but still feels overwhelmed with joy...it's been so long since anyone has given me a compliment of any kind...and just know that you must be such a nice person! I will then be forced to send you countless messages, FR and stalk you until you give in and accept my request!!
  • I am also the self proclaimed insecure one...So I will use your post as a chance to get my face out in front of hundreds of others and then I will throw out a giant line and go fishing for compliments..so I will tell everyone that I am really ugly and fat and wait anxiously...pressing F5 a billion times in hopes of hearing…
  • Feels the need to let everyone know that I have been on MFP for 1000 days and that I have tried everything, done everything, am the best at everything...and if you really want to be successful you will do everything as I have done it!! I don't care that you're a 30 year old guy...clearly if it worked for me it it will work…

  • Great job on getting into running!! I love it!! My only advice would be to definitely get outside and get some runs in. Real world and treadmill are vastly different. Just keep running...speed and distance always improve with consistency!! Good luck!!
  • I would be happy to help....I have lost over 100lbs...started losing before I joined MFP...I know how hard the road is, but it is do-able! Just have to stay the course...and not give up! Don't put ridiculous restrictions on yourself that are impossible to maintain...and find a workout routine that you enjoy and can look…

  • Congrats!! Awesome job!! And I must warn you...now that you have done 1 you will be hooked!! Maybe not today...but when you are recovered...you will be thinking of your next one!! :-)
  • There's no magic answer...you just have to want to want to!!! That is not a typo...that is the truth! No one can do anything for you! You need to find something in you that keeps you going! Find a workout routine that you like and works for you...and do it! And recognize when you are eating just to be eating and not…

Good luck on your new running adventure! The first 4 weeks are tough...if you can be consistent and determined to get…
  • smoothie: non fat milk, natures 3 berries from costco (frozen), frozen strawberries, fresh kale, fresh spinach and protein powder. Delicious, and you get a good start on your veggie servings for the day!!
  • I totally get it...we all have bad days...I had a horrible day today too!! Bad day at work...then was looking forward to my 17 mile run to relieve my frustrating day...and my run was very difficult...called it a day at 10 miles, came home, took a shower and crawled in bed for a couple hours!! Oh well... tomorrow is another…
  • 40...and going strong! Anyone feel free to add me as well!! :-)
  • Sorry my last response got lost in the quote mess...so in case you couldn't find it...I am copying it here too!! :-) I believe mine is the DC-2700...I use mine for my legs exclusively...it is great because it stays firm for the IT, quads, and hami's and then you can put a little bit of a bend to it for your calfs!!
  • Yes I do!! I like it because you can control the pressure...vs putting all of your body weight on the muscles with the foam roller...next time you see it at an expo have the do a demo on you....you will love it!! :-) Or take the plunge and order one!! I doubt you will regret it! :-)
