Very proud day for Canada today...our women rocked it in Sochi! Let's not forget our completely undefeated curling team either! But for sure, the hockey game was insane...I couldn't even watch the end of the third period! CRAZY what grit and desire will get you! :drinker:

When you go to get the skis out of your Tulle Rack, and you can't because the lock is frozen...clearly Mother Nature is trying to tell you it is too cold to ski!

She looks fantastic! It's nice to see the winner actually has some muscle definition and not skinny like a runway model. Now those girls are truly skinny! Her, she looks simply perfect to me! :drinker:

I can definitely see the definition in your abs! You look absolutely AMAZING and should skip down the streets every day in some sort of happy dance! I love the picture of the back of you on your hike, you can tell how strong you are! You are rockin' it girl!

Congrats on your success! I love your story, not only of your struggles but how you have changed your view on exercise and are embracing it and running 5K's! And I especially loved your Aunt Glenda...we all need these special people in our lives and I am so sad to hear she is no longer with you. However, she is…

Awesome! Love HIIT and Tabata...or is that Tabata and HIIT? Doesn't matter...you're working damn hard and your *kitten* is not on a couch! Seriously!

Yep, I got the "too thin" and now the "too muscle-y" as well. I did add a few pounds on after going almost 10 pounds below my initial goal weight. I am in a better spot weight-wise, but as for the muscles, well, I can't help those! My upper half (shoulders, back, arms) are very muscular...do kinda wish I could transfer…

I'm in Canada so my sizes are based on that but I do see some differences if I am shopping in the US (am generally a size smaller...but no, they haven't changed sizes for vanity at all! HaHa!). I am 5'8" and currently 137 lbs. I have a teeny-tiny top (read, small boobies and small waist, etc) but am wider on the bottom…

I had an original goal of low 140's since I knew that was a good weight for me but when I got there, it was so easy to keep going that I ended up resetting my goal to mid-130's and finally landed at 133 by mid-summer last year (started MFP in May 2012 and I'm 5'8"). What I would say about listening to those around you is…

Not at all. More annoying to you than anything. Just keep moping it up as much as you can. I am amazed by people who finish our one hour BodyCombat class and are "dry". Either I am also a crazy-sweater, or they are just not working it like I am! I am drenched after. So, I say be proud that your efforts are so visual!

@wendyapple - we are pretty much twins Age - 39 Height - 5'8" SW - 159 CW - 138 GW - 136-138 (was 133 this summer but because I am massively pear-shaped my upper body and face were not looking great and all I got were questions asking me is I was tired :( , so I let myself put a few lbs. back on and I think I'm in a good…

People were sending it around at work yesterday afternoon and it was laugh out loud funny! I especially love the whale!

Almost embarassed to say...Montreal, yes the home to "Pastagate" and all things crazy! Thank you, Pauline Marois, for making us look seriously retarded on an international-level! :embarassed:

That is so great! I can mimick your sentiments about never having thought of myself as a runner before and I too have a 5K run at the end of the month to raise month for a specialized autistic school here in Montreal. A few weeks ago I ran 5K just to see what it would feel like and I managed to be sub 28min! Then the other…

Height: 5'8 Age: 39 Gender: Female Highest: 169 (2000-2003; pre and post-pregnancies) Initial MFP weight: 159 (May 2012) Lowest (teenage): 136 (that I can remember; around 17 and very active with school sports) Lowest (adult): 133 this summer to approx. late Fall (but was not looking great on my frame, esp. my upper body…

I always weigh following prep. Seemed to work for me (been in maintenance for 8 months now). Other advice - weigh everything. The hardest ones to figure out are cooked pasta/rice since the nutritional info is done on the dry weight and most people are not preparing just one portion. Although I have seen some people prepare…

Couldn't agree more with all of the posts here. I started MFP in May 2012 and I reached my "elusive" goal weight of 135lbs in July and even went a couple of pounds below (I'm 5'8" and was at 133 in July). What I did find at that weight was that it didn't look great on my upper body. My breastbone was protruding and it was…

It's bad and real. Not just the US but in Canada too. I used to think we were always "slimmer" than our cousins down south, but the last 5-10 years has certainly levelled that playing field. We drove to Florida two years back and obviously drove down through NY, PA, VA, SC, etc. We stopped at a Wal-mart in VA and I was…

I LOVE pictures like this with kids in half of the pants! You look so much happier in your second photo! FANTASTIC!

I loved reading this! You have worked really hard these last 52 weeks and it sure shows (you look GREAT)! I love your outlook and your whole attitude! You are going to inspire so many people!

A few have mentioned the Nike Training Club app, which has so many different workouts to choose from. Some of them you can even do with no equipment, and the ones that do show equipment, it's pretty minimal. It gives you a solid workout! I'm not a runner...yet! But I have noted what apps everyone is mentioning for running…

Never posted photos in a forum before so bear with me. Wanted to do side-by-side but haven't figured that out yet. First photo was taken probably 3-4 years ago while I was working out 2-3 times a week but very little weights (mainly Les Mills BodyCombat classes). Second photo was taken within the last month. I currently…

Awesome progress! You look great! :drinker:

I have been doing other Les Mills classes for many years (mainly BodyCombat) and added a weekly BodyPump class to my schedule just this past June. All I can say is, you will see your body transform by doing this class regularily. It's fun, easy and with the mirrors all around, you can really check out your form to make…

OK - cheating a little as I'm 5'8", but I figure close enough, right? Tips: 1) buy a kitchen scale and weigh everything 2) try to plan some sort of movement into your every day (can be as easy as a good walk or a really sweaty workout) 3) be patient with yourself I'm turning 40 this year and am the lowest adult weight I…

Great job...you look fantastic! I love that you love your life and the way you feel!

Way to go Blaire! You look great and your body is really transforming! Just think what another three months will bring! :smokin:
