You can get ready for a marathon in a year. Have you done half marathons before? I would try a half marathon before a full marathon. Here are some training suggestions. 16 week programs are fairly common. http://www.marathonrookie.com/marathon-training.html

Make sure you are getting enough protein. You need to make sure you are eating enough. If you don't fuel your metabolism your body stores rather than burn.

After I lost over 100 lbs, guys started to notice me. I was invisible with the weight, but now guys take notice. I would have never ended up with my current boyfriend without losing the weight. People can say looks don't matter, but they do.

Cheese. I love cheese.

Only made it 2 miles yesterday. I was too drained from work. That brings me to 42.5 miles so far. Hopefully I will get a good run in today.

I've kept 100lbs off. I make healthier snack decisions. I have friends to workout with. Strength in numbers helps. I monitor calories and exercise. Zumba and Just Dance made a difference for me. Both are fun and easy to stick with. Plus either one burns a lot of calories. Don't try to deny your favorite foods forever.…

Try a Strong class or Zumba tone to start. You can use light weights combined with aerobics. You might also try weight circuits 2-3 times a week. I've been doing Strong classes for about one month and it really helps with energy.
