  • I'm in the UK  I'm trying to lose 20 pounds before my wedding at the end of May.
  • From a bit of poking around I'm going to say I reckon CrossFit Norwich is the closest (http://www.crossfitnorwich.co.uk/index.html)
  • Everyday Paleo (website and book) and Mark's Daily Apple (http://www.marksdailyapple.com/primal-blueprint-recipes/) are favourites of mine :).
  • https://www.marksdailyapple.com/slow-cooked-coconut-ginger-pork/ I made this at the weekend - omg it's seriously good. It's definitely the yummies primal/paleo thing I've cooked so far.
  • http://thepaleodiet.com/ http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2010/10/04/the-beginners-guide-to-the-paleo-diet/ http://robbwolf.com/what-is-the-paleo-diet/ These explain far better than I could :)
  • I use them :). I take both a multi-vitamin and fish oil tablet in the morning and then a vitamin D3 capsule and a magnesium tablet in the evening. The D3 is because I worry about getting enough of it (it's not always sunny in the UK :p), magnesium because I've read that it helps some people sleep better and the…
  • I love balsamic vinegar + EVOO + salt + black pepper - nommy :).
  • I love both of these :) http://www.jagsfitnessblog.com/recipes/main-courses/chilli-con-carne/ (I just leave out the kidney beans and sugar to make it primal) http://www.jagsfitnessblog.com/recipes/main-courses/spaghetti-bolognese/ Beef and root vegetable stew (serves 3) Tesco - Tomato Puree- Double Concentrated, 1…
  • I still eat white rice occassionally, primal has nothing against white rice on occassion (http://www.marksdailyapple.com/the-asian-paradox-how-can-asians-eat-so-much-rice-and-not-gain-weight/#axzz24TsIxJtb). For things like chilli or bologense sauce I either eat them with just veggies like green beans, curly kale, spinach.…
  • My OH is an vegetarian - so yep, we couldn't be more different on the eating habits :p. We have been together over 5 years and I'm relatively new to primal (I started back in March this year). I have done some falling off the wagon since I started with rice cakes, milk chocolate, pizzas to name a few things. I still eat…
  • I'm trying hard to cut down on dairy too, I'm abit addicted to it and reckon I eat it rather too frequently (despite dairy being relatively primal friendly). I'm not sure I actually have an issue with dairy, just I eat it too often and I think it may not be helping with the fat loss. So coconut milk is my replacement for…
  • If I'm understanding the question right, you can set your own calorie per day limit. It's in the same place where you changed you adjusted your ratios (in the change goals section of the my home tab), the very first box on there is a net daily calorie box and you can set it to whatever you want it to be. I have mie set to…
  • I blame the big chain supermarkets for thinking we all want 0% or 2% fat greek yogurt :grumble:. Full fat greek yogurt does exist - it just might take a bit of searching for. Fage make one http://www.fageusa.com/products/fage-total-classic/. I think in the US Trader Joe's and possibly Wholefoods have their own brand one…
  • 5lbs of muscle and 5lbs of fat weigh the same but muscle takes up less volume (space) than fat does http://oakcitycrossfit.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/fatpic.jpg <- a little picture for illustration  My feeling is that weight training as in something like New Rules of Lifting for Women or Starting Strength…
  • Research assistant or lab monkey as I call it :)
  • So it's not just my gym that happens in then :p. The other thing that winds me up is up is people using the squat rack for things other than squats, seriously there's a whole free weights area, go do your deadlifts/babrbell rows/shrugs somewhere else I need the squat rack for squats. Doesn't help that there's only one…
  • Mark's Daily Apple - but that's more primal than paleo. Nom nom paleo - recipes :)
  • I'm trying for 60% fat, 25% protein and 15% carbs at the moment. Seems to going good for me :)
  • Howdy! Add me too if you like :). I've been primal since last October (apart from the spectacular fall from the wagon over christmas - I got back on though :)), I love my dairy a bit too much to go Paleo. Though I do have a lots less than I did before primal.
  • Will you have freezer and microwave access? If so how about batch cooking things like chilli, bolognese sauce, moussaka, stews and then freezing them? Reheat as needed :).
  • Corn/maize is a grain, so it's out on primal. Whey protein - I guess depends on processed and what the ingredients list on the product looks like (at least for me).
  • I'd love to have muscle like that
  • I'm a gamer and love cats, so hence a cat with a Link (character from Zelda) costume on :).
  • Not that I have kids (yet anyway :)) but I do know what I was like as a kid with being told "you can't have that, it's bad for you". Maybe you could try something like http://www.thepaleomom.com/2012/03/recipe-yeast-based-paleo-bread.html - says it's good as toast so could be a good one to try :).
