Hi - I am a Christian :) I need some kind, Christian brotherly motivation - feel free to add :) I'm a new mom to a 8 month old trying to lose weight.

Great job! :)

I used to LOVE cottage cheese as a kid - now I think it's gross...it's a texture thing.

Everyone's story is different. :) I started out doing the 1200 calories a day thing, but the more I worked out, the more I needed to raise my calories or I was SO HUNGRY and TIRED and getting SICK and my workouts weren't doing much. Now I work a more active job, as well, so I raised my calories even more. I eat about 1,640…

Try eating :) haha I know that sounds silly - but if you're really in PAIN and not just bored, then your body is crying out. It looks like you're taking a HUGE step down, maybe try working your way there so your body can adjust? Try healthy snacks like carrot sticks, etc. just to give your body something to munch on and…

Great job!!

Modesty, please :)

You look beautiful, healthy, and happy! Great job, God bless, and Merry Christmas!

I am losing weight for someone other than myself - I am losing it for God :) nothing wrong with that!
-
I am a vegetarian - get my protein from whey shakes, tofu, dairy, beans, nuts, etc. There is protein in a lot of things...but I'm pretty sure even body builders do not aim to eat 1 gram of protein for every lb they way. That sounds difficult and over thinking things. There are so many other nutrients our bodies need…

Great work :)

lol same!

Agreed - you don't have to go all out for salon products, but if you shop around you can get nicer shampoos and conditioners cheap or on sale. I need to switch up the kind I use every few months (or just when there is a sale or coupon lol) or else my hair gets too used to it and isn't as healthy. Maybe that's just me…
-
Also - If I shower and do not wash my hair, I need to wear a shower cap. If my hair gets soaking wet but not washed, it becomes more greasy lol not sure how, but it does.
-
I am caucasian with normal to oily hair. Right now it's only a bit above my shoulders but it used to be down my back. Typically, even if I didn't work out, I would need to wash it every day with shampoo - every other day at the most, or it would get too greasy. I condition almost every day, too, to keep it soft, shiny,…

No. From your profile pic you look to already be relatively slim. Your body does not need less but maybe more!
-
Agreed. I don't always eat back my exercise calories, but one days when I'm feeling especially hungry or there is a lot of food available, I do. And I'm still losing weight and getting healthier. I eat carbs and fats - I've just cut back.
-
I've sure others have said this but...carbs, fats, sugars, etc. are all important to our bodies. It's just the amount and type of them that we eat that can make us be unhealthy. If vegetables have carbs, they are good carbs that your body needs to survive and function properly. So enjoy! :)

Great advice :)

I eat pasta almost every day, love ice cream, etc. and have still lost weight :) 33 pounds in the last 7 months. Maybe I could lose more if I ate healthier all of the time - but I'm really picky and love to eat so what can I say? haha :) It can be done but you got to get up and moving! Feel free to add me for encouragement…
-
I like this :) So many pessimistic trolls on MFP, not enough encouragement for those who are new to things :)
-
Hehe :)

Yes, do not use an old one like others have said. Do not put it on a surface that will burn easily. Don't have clutter around the crock pot that could get over heated. Maybe consider plugging it into a surge protector just in case. I've never heard of someones house burning because of a crock pot - but better safe than…

Indeed :)

Yep!! I did 1,200 calories and exercised and sometimes ate extra when I exercised a lot, and lost weight for a few months, and then went over a month without losing, despite working out even more! As soon as I upped my calories to about 1,500 I start losing again! It's amazing - people think you need to starve yourself!…
-
You've taken the first step! It will get easier! Once you find the right plan of action for you...start with being a little more active, walking a bit more, cleaning the house more often, etc. you will find it gets easier to move and start upping what kinds of things you can do. I would highly suggest a personal trainer…
-
My plan is to enjoy myself :) I hope you all will, too! Be safe, spend time with your family, and praise God for life, food, and cherished memories!

Interesting...can you see if anyone brand makes this treat and compare the labels?

That's why we track calories. It's okay if you don't eat all your extra calories if you had a killer burn, but if you only burned like 200 calories and you're stomach is growling - eat those 200 calories. Your body needs fuel!
