  • Agreed, it's funny he used to be way more athletic than me and it's like we've traded places!
  • Sound like something my hubby would do, yep just going to try to keep up what I'm doing and hope he comes along for the ride!
  • Usually I only casually bring it up like "Hey lets go for a walk" and then I get turned down, so I go, but it's funny because usually when I get back is when I hear him say, "I'm so sick of looking this way" or something to that effect. I don't even know what to say to him anymore. But really if someone would have…
  • Thanks for all the great suggestions! Yes, I think going it alone may just be what I have to do. I do go to classes at the gym I haven't much lately being that it's summer and want to do more outside, but hopefully soon it'll click for him and he'll go to or something. If anyone needs support like me add me! I'm great at…
  • I'm getting to that point!! I just don't know how to get him motivated, it's like we're speaking a different language. He has a gym membership that he wanted but doesn't use, and he says he doesn't have energy for anything but I'm pretty sure it's because of what he eats, and his sedentary lifestyle...
  • I think that's what the issue is, I'm just super insecure, but another part of me just really wants him to get in shape too, what steps did you take to branch out?
  • Yeah I'm afraid of that happening but at this point I just feel like I'm being undermined even when we go grocery shopping he wants spaghettios, and chips, and cookies, I try offering up different suggestions and I get a look like "are you nuts?"
  • He used to be really active but the activities he used to like; biking, swimming and such he doesn't show much interest in anymore, feels as if he's embarrassed to do them...
  • Sounds like my family when I was younger, they would tell me "You look fine the way you are, why change?" I always partially blamed them for not supporting me when I needed it most, I ended up telling myself that I really was fine and gained even more, now I need to lose weight even more! Don't let them get you down…
  • I get that message all the time. From what I understand 1200 calories is what is needed for basic human and metabolic functions, etc if you eat under that amount your basically starving yourself. What I'm thinking is that mfp doesn't take into consideration that you may have eaten enough but your exercise calories have made…
  • great thanks for the tip, yeah I think it messes me up even more after I excercise and end up with even more calories that I have to eat!
  • Yeah I have to say I've given up on almost all of Subways food, I even tried the breakfast which was a laugh and a half. I think I'll just stick to Erberts and Gerberts and Jimmy Johns....
  • thank-you so much superdave123 I'll definitely be hitting you up with any other questions I might have about P90x!
  • Will be doing day 3 today, and I have to say despite the soreness I'm pretty pumped! One question I have is about the calorie intake and such, I'm doing this program with a friend so I myself don't actually own the P90x what is the formula if I'm trying to lose weight and not maintain it?? I'd have to agree with bowaknee…

  • I'm also a little nervous...I'm just hoping that things don't end up looking disproportionate....:blushing:
  • hmm thats a shame, so the creams and different products out there don't work either I take it?
  • Ahh I also forgot to weigh in! :ohwell: But question what time is best to weigh in, I just ate so I'm thinking doing it right now probably wouldn't be a good idea right?
