  • Oh, dogs off-leash! Yesterday when I was running I saw this lady walking her dog in one of those stroller things for little dogs. Later I was headed to a green space and she was coming out. She had her dog out of the stroller and off-leash. Usually, if I see people walking their dogs and they have them properly leashed…
  • @shanaber I'll take a look at my podcast host as well. The refresh worked on Podcast Addict but maybe there is something on the backend. I am so annoyed with technology lately! Nothing is working right. I posted a podcast AND video that had no sound. My blog was scheduled to autopost and never did. All of my photography…
  • I have looked back at photos too and thought why did I think I was fat? I think a lot of it is society expectations. We're all supposed to be young and thin looking! Also, we need more info in general about women's cycles and menopause. We know so little.
  • @quilteryoyo I assumed masters degree but I forget things mean different things elsewhere! I should stop ASSuming 🤣
  • Yesterday me: I'm going to get up at 5, have one cup of coffee & waffles then head out to run. Today me: well, 2 cups of coffee done, guess I should eat and maybe get out by 730. Remind next Saturday me it's too hot to wait until 730 to go out 🤣 6 miles today of slow run with walk breaks 13.5ish for June so far
  • @shanaber It was a me/podcast issue. When I downloaded it from the editing software there was no sound and of course I didn't listen to it before uploading to server. I re-downloded (and triple checked the sound) and re-uploaded over the weekend. It should work now. It did on my podcast player.
  • Hi everyone! I fell off the logging/posting wagon, again! But it's a new month so let's give it another try. I read through the last page of posts. Not much for me to add.
  • I think I am doing approximately 16 miles per week. So like 65 again? I dunno. My goal is 4 runs, 4 weight training, 2 rides, and 1 yoga per week. I'm gonna try not to disappear again because I really need to drop some weight/fat/inches. Need to hold myself accountable!
  • Yah, I saw similar guidelines when I looked it up. My nephews sometimes join us in 5ks but Mom or Dad always have the stroller if they get tired. The oldest, at 6, sometimes didn't want to walk/run the entire way. I can't imagine making him run a marathon!
  • @quilteryoyo Ugh, I hate that part of the app. I wish they would fix that!
  • 4 miles for May the Fourth. ;) I just read about a family that ran a marathon together. With their 6-year-old kid. I'm not a parent or doctor so I might be out of line but this feels like too much for a little kid? They posted a photo at the halfway point and he looked miserable.
  • @quilteryoyo my weight (and measurements) have been slowly moving in the right direction and body fat % was staying in line with weight. Not sure it's my intake. Definitely feels like something weird/one-off but I guess I'll see when I weigh in on Saturday again LOL
  • Not sure what I'll do. Guessing 65-75. We'll say 70 to split the difference. Our air quality has been *kitten* because of a couple wildfires already. My lungs were struggling this morning but still got in 3.48 today and 5.1 yesterday 8.59 / 70
  • Ended April with 56, about 9 short of my 65 goal. I would have had 60 but moved my Sat run to Sun so that went to May 🤣
  • I weighed in on Saturday and the scale gave some interesting measurements. I think it might be because of bloating/water retention. Garmin says its my period time and I have symptoms but no actual flow. It's the last year of my implant so it's usually a bit odd. I gained 2 pounds but my body fat went down about 13%. I…
  • @polskagirl01 NTA. I always tell people to be weary of jobs that have you do any unpaid work esp before hire or jobs that make you pay to start up. That job sounds like the are certainly preying on those in a bad situation
  • Uh, well, there's a bunch of different adhd meds and doses. I'm on a relatively low dose (10mg) of generic adderall. And of course all drugs affect people differently. The thing with adhd is stimulants usually have the opposite affect for adhd. Adderrall is basically meth but instead of hyperfocusong and running around…
  • Wait, humidity can go ober 10%? 🤣🤣🤣 I came from the midwest but have been here so long I forget how that ues 35% is a lot for me but it's nothing for everyone else Crowd source! I have lists of ideas but I want to know what, as runners at various levels, would want to read/hear/see on blogs, podcasts, and videos.
  • Yah, I noticed the sound issue to when on podcast app but I swear it was consistent in the editing software. I will have to make some adjustments. Still learning the new editing software (website?). Shadow doesn't bark a lot at people. Half the time she barely notices FedEx or Amazon dropped a package. What she does, and…
  • @quilteryoyo Yes! Great topic, could probably be its own podcast LOL I have always had the same issue with pants. wider hips, bigger butt, and small waist. My measurements have always fallen into the actual definition of curvy with my waist being 8-10" smaller than bust and hips. I remember one year when we had biometric…
  • I usually have just enough time to eat a honey stinger waffle, take a few sips, change and head out the door. I always try to opt for more sleep 😆😆😆
  • @shanaber great point! I really need to start writing it today lol @quilteryoyo I only have like 20 some episodes and they are usually 20 min or less. It's crazy how much writing it takes to fill 15-20 min! I have the thigh rub issue. I look for 7-8 inch inseam shorts. They are harder to find but are out there! Old Navy…
  • I used to run after work in winter and 8ish pm in the summer when I was single. 🤣 10 am is great, in winter. I would die in summer. I tried a few times to go later lastt summer once I acclimated and it was too hot to do more than 2 miles. Work and commute also means I gotta get it in early. I don't like it. I'd rather…
  • Cross post from the Facebook group: I know this is short notice but I am recording my podcast on Saturday. The topic is going to be body image. Is there anything specific you think I should address? Anything you want to add (anonymously of course). I haven't written it yet and will probably work on it tonight and tomorrow.
  • Did my 4 miles this morning. Legs were fine, I was just slow cuz it was early (5 am) 😆 I'm at 36 miles for April. Looks like I will finish just under 60. May sneak in a few extra each day to try and hit 100k (62.14)
  • @shanaber wow! That is crazy about your MRI. I look forward to hearing what the docs say. @quilteryoyo Woo! So happy you fit in your dress! A nice reminder that the number on the scale may not be the whole story
  • 32 miles so far. I've got 4 miles scheduled for tomorrow. I rode my bike today. 40 min with 1:30 RPM or Hill. My legs always feel like jello after and make runs the next day difficult.
  • Oh, that reminds me. There was a local restaurant and the servers got caught not once but twice stealing credit card numbers! Different servers a few years apart but it's like was management behind that??
  • @CMorning99 Probably one of those scanners by someone in the parking lot then sold online. If you use it for gas some of those skimmers have gotten really hard to spot on the pumps.
  • I skipped my run yesterday. I don't think I got enough sleep this past weekend. We had a hockey game Thursday, a baseball game Friday, and a hockey game Tuesday. Sunday we had breakfast with friends and ran errands. And the dog would not sleep past like 430 each day. Today I finally got 7.5 hours of sleep, much better than…
