Believe it or not the fastest way to.lose weight is to eat every four hours without exceeding your daily caloric intake. Eat whole foods and increase your fiber. Junk food is full of bad carbs that aren't healthy for you to help your metabolism

Your better off by trying to get close as possible to what MFP recommends and it's okay to go slightly over. You don't want to eat a set amount of calories per day. Doing that will cause your metabolism to plateau or raise

Give up two things to help yourself make a difference. 1. Stop eating all processed foods. 2. Don't eat any foods with high fructose corn syrup found in a lot of foods. Really want a lot of help buy the book slim for life by Jillian Michaels for a little more than 5 from thrift books

I have been using mfp off and on for more than 20 years. And have never relied on their forecast. Disregard it

If it's not syncing ditch the watch and invest in the Vibe 3D + smart watch at Wal-Mart for a whopping $49.95 + tax. Then you won't have to manually enter your data. And it will make life easier for you. I was manually trying to track my data before buying the smart watch and it made keeping track of my steps so much…

My best advice to you is to buy yourself a smart watch to get a baseline of how much your presently walking. And then use the watch to add steps to your daily routine. That's how I got started to force myself to start moving and get rid of my arthritic knees.

5 1/2 years ago my doctor said I was morbid obese and it came as a major shock because I thought I was healthier than that. Diet alone isn't enough if you want to lose weight. If you want to lose weight exercising for at least 30 minutes per day is paramount. Research for yourself what's called the 80%/20% rule that…

a sauna will help you get rid of excess water. But like it's already been mentioned it's not exercise and MFP doesn't have a category for it. However, after doing an Internet search I found the info below: You could manually enter sauna into MFP but you need to ask yourself for what value? Based on the 2nd internet search…

Getting ready to send you a friend request. What's your journey? Mine is to lose another 102 more pounds on top of the 80 pounds I've already lost.

Stay away from doing squats. I did that a few years ago and it made my knees so much worse. That it was the worst regret I have of my training days. You mentioned that you have Fibromyalgia so my best advice to you would be to try indoor swimming and do laps in the pool It's a great exercise and is very easy on your…

Go to this website - https://www.niddk.nih.gov/bwp. I don't know what your weight loss goal is and I lack that information. I don't know if your wanting to lose weight or maintain your weight. Without that information the program suggested 1,589 calories. Plug in the information and you'll get a better baseline for your…

It could simply be that your not walking at the same pace. By walking at a faster pace you'll accumulate more steps. Just an educated guess. I don't know for certain.

I don't know if your knee has shown improvement. I have bad knees and the ellipitical is a killer on my knees. But what doesn't hurt my knees is a device called NuStep. It's an ellipitcal that is recumbent. If your knees are still bugging you then you can just tuck your lucks to the side and use the arms only.

If you have a YMCA in your neighborhood, join your local YMCA and they have a plethora of Group events which you can tread to see which activity will catch your fancy like Tai Chi, Zumba, Master's Swimming, Yoga, etc.

Invest in a blue ray box. That will play your DVD's and I don't think it will break the bank. But you still need to connect the blue ray box to your TV via an HDMI slot.

Tips for motivating to exercise 1. Just do it! – Take Nike’s slogan literally and immediately start exercising. This actually works because sometimes if you give yourself too much time to think about exercising a little voice inside your head will try to talk you out of it. 2. Exercise first thing in the morning – This…

I liked your post. I'm going to copy and paste your post to find someone in my area (of Spokane, Washington).

The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Disease has a body weight planner calculator. https://www.niddk.nih.gov/bwp - Use this website to determine how many calories your body needs in order to lose weight. You can eat those extra calories when you exercise but don't exceed the recommended calories that…

For a while I was weighing myself and entering the weight into a spreadsheet daily. However, I've changed that to that now I still weigh myself daily but don't keep track of the weight daily. Instead I keep track of my weight from week to week to show progress.

What I would suggest to you is to invest a couple of bucks in a DVD and plug it into your TV. Find something that you'll like for example, Yoga, Tai Chi, Zumba to mention a few.

If you get the Vibe 3D+ smart watch it comes with a pretty good free app that will be beneficial for your goal to reduce fat and gain muscle. It's got a good price of about $50 + tax and can be picked up at your neighborhood Wal-Mart.

I took a look at your comment. I've been doing a lot of research on weight loss but the stuff you've mentioned that you want to track seems like it's way over my head and maybe for that reason many people haven't joined. My advice is to dummy it down, and rewrite your post topic. Like mentioned above, for example my goal…

Thank you very much. I took a very determined approach to research what it takes to lose weight. And once I started focusing on the biology of our body and looking at metabolism is when I started to notice tangible results. One of the best pieces of advice given to me was to give up those processed foods which are so high…

I can't stand wearing those devices that require you to wear a transmitter. Go to Walmart and they have a smart watch that you can pick up for $49.95 + tax. The watch also comes with a free app for you to keep track of your daily steps. I believe the watch is called Vibe 3+. There's no need to manually enter your steps.…

There's a book you can buy that Jillian Michaels (one of the trainers on The Biggest Loser) wrote called Slim for Life. I picked up my copy on Amazon for about $4.95 + tax. She gives a plethora of advice for these situations that you are describing. I hope you'll check it out or at the very least check out this link for a…

Jillan Michaels suggested eating a small handful of nuts, almonds, or walnuts before each meal. The fiber from the nuts will help you feeling more satisfied and less hungry.
