Last time I spoke to the dr (I'm uk based so it was the nhs) they weren't really concerned as it doesn't prevent me from doing anything - they were more like "well we got you walking again our work here is done!" I have no idea how to get referred to a sports doctor! A private clinic I guess?

Also a vote for c25k, and also the trainers. You mentioned that you have tried a few brands, but even within brands you get different types - I have Nike lunar glides as they are the right level of support for me, but most of the other ones they make just don't work for me. So a gait analysis will really help you get the…

OP I do the same- I batch cook at the weekends and assemble 150 cal "snack bags" so I save time in the week. All the meals are in Tupperware with the cals written on them, so I can just quick add as needed. I also get no mob signal at work so can't search for anything. I don't track macros tho so it's quite easy my way. My…

My profile pic was a S.H.I.E.L.D logo for a while....so I'm probably less of a 'closet nerd' and more just a regular one!

Strawberries, cut in half, add some (really good quality) balsamic vinegar, leave for an hour or so, serve with yoghurt, creme fraiche, ice cream...anything really. Sounds odd at first, but its really good, and super low cal depending on what you have it with.

1) your too clumsy to ride a motorbike, don't do it 2) trust yourself more - every decision you make is the right one if it's right for you at the time 3) pay more attention at uni, it's so awesome you don't want to miss any of it

Check if you gym offers any help with programme set ups/teaching how to use the weights/machines. Mine does this at no extra cost, so I can get a new programme done every 8 weeks without cost. I did a session with a personal trainer though when I wanted to start free weights, which I found helped a lot.

If I need a white/creamy sauce, I usually use a bit of soft cheese (philidelphia etc) and a bit of milk. Easy! And if you use a flavoured one like garlic and herb you get added taste.

I'm in a similar position to you - fractured spine/compound femur fracture/multiple pelvic fractures....now I have more metal in me then wolverine! My limitations are no impact, twisting not a problem tho, but here's what I do fine: Treadmill - uphill, currently a brisk 5.5kmph Stepper Cross trainer (if ur in the USA, I…

I use the machines only as well, I want to start on free weights tho, just want to build some small amount of strength first.
