I started my weight loss in pain as well. I had been trying to make changes on my own with no real focus. But what brought everything to an urgency was going for a walk and having knee pain. I had to get past that pain to get to a point where I enjoy exercise. I had no idea what I was signing up for. I never dreamed I…

I understand completely. I have been getting new friends recently but could always use some more.

I say eat an amount you are comfortable eating. If you can't get to your goal, at this time with the amount you have to lose, I wouldn't worry about trying to eat more. Your body will let you know if it needs more. You just have to trust what it tells you.

I don't support the idea of binging on something else. What I do support is trying to find what is causing the problem. I have found that finding the cause usually helps you find the solution. If you have distractions during the day but not as much at night that could be it. There are other possible things as well. I hope…

I would be glad to help. I am sending you a request now.

Try calorie deficit and maybe a little weights to shape things how you want them when the fat goes away.

You can't. I've tried when people swear they are ready. They always say they want to be better. But most often they don't want to put in the effort so they don't. You can't make someone want to do the work. They may really want the end result. But the work involved isn't an easy thing to commit to.

Hi, I'm Kim. I am trying to get back to losing weight. I did pretty well about 2 years ago and then kind of maintained ( I added a little). I'm working on being stronger at the moment. Feel free to add me!

From what I have learned from making my own mistakes trying to limit or cut out carbs will only end up hurting you if you are trying to exercise on a regular basis. It is more important as a woman to not deprive your body of the fuel it needs.

I was being followed through my house by a zombie version of my deceased father.

I recently really got back into running. I found it was hard this time around. Between when I really ran before and this time I had 4 kids and lost all motivation. This time when I started I got injured and had to wait to try again. In between I got convinced I could never run again. Very recently I have gotten brave…

You look fantastic! This post is very inspirational, thank you for sharing.

I kept mine after the divorce for the kids. However when I got remarried I took his name.

Congratulations! Great work.

I eat either one of the special k cereals or honey nut cheerios.

I would have to say join the gym. I love my gym. I didn't think I would love it as much as I do before I started going. But we are there everyday. I like the variety. I like that I have already done things there I didn't think I could do. Why limit yourself to a single piece of equipment?

Ok done.

I have tried on another site before joining MFP and I thought I could go a while on my own there. That was a mistake. I came here per a friends recommendation. I accept I will always need to know how much I ate or can eat to stay where I need to be. There really is no finish line.

Mine is way off. It was right when I got it. But when I renewed I don't remember having to say what it was then.

I know how you feel. It sounds like we are in similar places. I wish you all the best. I am also relatively new. So far it has been hugely helpful. I have learned a lot. I hope it is as helpful for you as it has been for me.

Hi I understand your frustration. I hope you can stick with it. It can be tough when you don't feel like you are getting the right information. I actually use MFP and another site as well. I take the information each gives and if they are different I go somewhere in the middle. But I don't want to give up either site.…

Thank you Kortney! I love your thread!

Hi I need friends too. Add me. I have been on here about a week. It is much harder without support.

For me it was realizing I was (and still am) the heaviest I have ever been combined with hurting my knee (torn PCL). When I hurt my knee I was walking around the block. I realized I had to do something. So I am. The scary part was that noticing nothing fit and having to buy new clothes was not enough.

This is a hard situation. My ex was a lot like that. Mine went so far as to say I was killing him by not feeding him beef every night. Then came up with the idea of a vegetarian night each week but he expected fattening or overly cheesy options then too. I hope you can make things work for both of you. If you can get him…

You are doing great! Congrats on the first 79!
