I looked at that site fstgf. It was very good and have got lots of useful information from it. There was a work out on there for women that incorporated dumbell weights and cardio. So I'm goibg to do that every other day and pure cardio on the alternate days. I know it will take me a while and before I've always wanted the…

I like to exercise in 4 sets of 8 reps per exercise. If I can lift the weight easily more than 12 reps per set, it is not heavy enough. If I cannot lift it for 8 reps in a set, then it is too heavy. Can't say this is right, but it is working for me. I also found a lot of useful information here: http://scoobysworkshop.com/…

Thanks for the advice, I do appreciate it. I have a question about weights. If I start start lifting at home, what weight should I start with? This is for dumbells and the barbell.

When I first started just over a year ago I didn't have a time frame I mind and it didn't help. I lost sight of what I wa doing and then I got ill and didn't care. This time I would like to be on or very near to goal by next summer when my sister gets married.

Hi, I admit to lurking around the boards a hell of a lot more than I post gut I notice that I always feel so much more motivated and supported when I do respond to posts or when I post a topic of my own. I used to have scale ocd too, I lost close to 50lbs got ill and just watched tge weight increase every time I got on…

Same as me, I lost loads earlier in the year then I put most of it back on when I was ill and now 2 and a half weeks in for me and I'm just starting to get my motivation back again. Hopefully this time I won't be ill! Lol

Yep me too! But it has to go!

You are truly inspiring! What a story of triumph! Congratulations

I have exactly this, my specialist told me cardio with no impact or strain. I have a cross trainer and I love it! I can do crunches with accushion under my back and I wear a support vest to help with back support. You can do it, just take it easy.

Soo right! 3 years ago I lost 35 in 6 weeks o lighter life. It was just about the worst thing I ever did. My body is only just recovered enough for me to loose weight in a healthy way and exercise. It is just not worth it. Honestly eat well and work out and drink water.

I lost 42lbs then fell off the wagon because I got complacent and managed to gain 16lbs back on. But this last week I have been back on it and I am so inspired by all you ladies! I'm going to take some pictures tomorrow and keep track and use this thread for motivation. maybe one day I will be posting on here too.

I have this problem too!! I am wearing smaller clothes, I have gone from a UK size 20 to a size 14. I still have a way to go and all I see is how far left to go and I find it so hard to recognize how far I have come and what I have achieved so far. At the start I asked people not to tell me that I was looking different…
