  • Have any of you tried the Flatout brand wraps? They have a few flavors that are 90 calories for the whole wrap and they are good sized. I love them and use them all the time. They make great individual thin crust pizzas too!
  • Sorry meant to post a response to the tzatziki comment. I come from a Greek family and we've never made it with it olive oil. I make mine with fat free plain Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice and a little garlic. It turns out really good!
  • Hey everyone. I'm Athena. My ultimate goal this year is to lose another 60lbs. I've already lost 60 so I'm halfway to my goal weight. This group sounds like just what I need to stay focused and on track!
  • My Dr originally had me on 1,000 calories a day too. She gave me a diet plan that was very specific as to what I would eat at each meal. Breakfast was 1/2 serving of dairy, 1 serving of fruit and 1 serving of starch. For example I'd have 1/2 an English Muffin w/ a spritz of no calorie butter spray, a 4 oz yogurt and a…
  • I am not a fan of anything really "fishy" tasting but I absolutely love, shrimp, scallops, tilapia, mahi mahi, cod, haddock...pretty much any firm, mild white fish. Just about any seasoning you like works well with most of these too which makes preparation super easy. I just sprinkle on whatever I'm in the mood for; lemon…
  • Egg/egg white & veggie omelets! I just had one egg and one egg white with onion, mushrooms, spinach and a half ounce of reduced fat feta cheese with half a 100 calorie whole grain/high fiber English muffin and a half cup of fresh pineapple...yummy and super filling. I find that having some protein with my sugar/carbs keeps…
  • Tilapia & Shrimp w/ Lemon and Tomatoes (I call it Heaven on a plate) 4 oz tilapia filet 2 oz peeled deveined uncooked shrimp 2 tsp extra virgin olive oil italian seasoning blend (to taste) 6-8 grape tomatoes 3 thin slices of lemon; plus a wedge for squeezing put the tilapia and shrimp on a large piece of aluminum foil,…
  • I love using sandwich thins as individual pizza crusts. Just split and lightly toast them, add sauce, reduced fat cheese, veggies or whatever you like and pop them in the oven till the cheese is melted. Two mini pizzas for about the calories of one regular slice from Domino's :)
  • The Liberte' brand is awesome! It's super thick and rich and the fruit flavors are not too sweet...love it! I really like the Voskos brand too...the honey flavored Voskos is great!
  • My doctor told me that a little real sugar is better than artificial sweeteners. She told me that when you eat/drink artificial sweeteners your taste buds get the sweet sensation and send signals to your brain which makes your body expect the sugar and the energy spike that comes with it. When your body doesn't get that,…
  • I will put almost anything in my salad lol. I made a barbecue chicken salad for my lunch tomorrow...romaine, tomato, a bit of sweet corn, light cheddar cheese and a few French's fried onions with a Tbsp light ranch mixed with a little bbq sauce. It's one of my faves!
  • I posted on Facebook that I wanted salad ideas for my lunches so this is perfect! Today I had romaine lettuce (I'm not into the fancier greens lol) with green apples, dried cranberries, chicken breast, a few walnuts, reduced fat feta cheese and light balsamic vinaigrette. So yummy
  • You're best bet is probably a simple mixed drink made with diet soda. I love Grey Goose & seltzer with lime...all I have to count is the calories from the vodka :)
