  • Afternoon all... To break my plateau I've decided to mix 16.8 with 5.2 this week & also keep an eye on the calories too.. Not back in work till tomorrow so that will be my first fast of the week along with Friday or Saturday... Only weighing every 2 weeks now, how often does everyone here weigh in?
  • Tried ADF for a few weeks but no luck.. Not sure if my body is used to fasting after 3 years now because I should have had a definite calorie deficit whilst doing that..

  • Yeah your right.. I don't know why they always say eat to your sedentary TDEE anyway in these fasting sites.. Let's see if I can back into the whole logging food every day & weighing it out!! Thanks

  • No my sedentary TDEE (which the 5.2 sites recommend you use) is around 1800.. 1500 is what I'd eat every day if I didn't do 5.2.. Do you do 5.2 & calorie count?
  • I've been doing some form of fasting for over 2 years now... Mainly 5.2.. But I also like 16.8 & I actually lose weight better if I do one 500-600 cal fast then follow 16.8 the rest of the week.. Unless alcohol is involved I find it hard to eat much in an 8hr window as my appetite has shrunk

  • Yes this works best before you open your window... I try do all workout sessions before my window opens whilst still in fasting mode as you burn fat better ... Check out the fasting twins on you tube
  • I lost 21lbs using slim fast & loved the simplicity of it.. No logging or counting.. It was great.. I still keep them in my fridge now for occasional use.. I also love the peanut meal bars & chewy caramel chocolate bar..
