  • starting weight was 278 current weight is 175 and holding. i fluctuate 10 pounds either way. I focus more on gaining muscle now than losing weight. in 2010 when i started i went to the gym 6 times a week for 2 hours a day. all of it was cardio machines and resistance machines 3 times a week. now i run a bootcamp/crossfit…
  • I second the Bose headphones! They are totally worth the money!
  • You can check mine out on my profile. I don't have any from my all time high, but you'll get the picture ; ).
  • Love the post Love the sarcasm My boyfriend and I both went Gluten free last Jan. We've both experienced the same as you. My "bad knee" hasn't hurt or been swollen since then....except for the days after "Gluten palooza's"! oh crap, the boss is coming.
  • Awesome job!!!!
  • http://paleomg.com/banana-bread-french-toast/ tried this one last night and am in love with it! My kids eat gluten free/grain free with us, and they eat everything we put in front of them.
  • Those last 20 or so pounds are the hardest. It's hard to look back and remember the weight just dropping off in the beginning. I started on here at 242 and for the last year have yo yo'd between 180 and 160. It's frustrating I know! You've done great so far! Maybe change something up, that's always what i've needed to…
  • I'm primal verging on paleo. honey cinnamon tea is good. it's just hot water, cinnamon, and honey. dark chocolate pieces lara bars my favorite right now is a bowl of almonds, shredded coconut, and chocolate or vanilla almond milk. I know i have more, but am blanking right now.
  • I've gotten into a kick of making sweet potato salad with them. I boil them, toss in olive oil mayo, and throw in onions, green peppers, and boiled eggs.
  • Now i'm crying here at work. This was me not that long ago, and i still have issues with this. Thank you for posting this, this made my day!
  • You can add me! I still have a little ways to go, but i've lost 100 pounds working full time and have 2 kiddos that are in activities. You can do it!
  • Thrift store, friends, family....they were always my go to's for "new" clothes during transition. That and a good belt! Clothes that fit always made me feel better, so if i had to i would go shopping for a few things every couple of sizes. I went on a big one when i got to my halfway point, and then just picked up a couple…
  • I easily lost around 5 pounds a week when i first started out at 278. It's normal when you are heavier. It will taper off. Now i'm lucky if i get 5 pounds off in a month!
  • I also have the Polar FT4. I bought it on sale about 2 years ago for about $85 at best buy. Works great for me!

  • yep, sounds like me!!!! I've always said i was big boned, and everyone told me the same thing. I had the same crisis when i started losing weight. I found out that i was actually small boned. i thought no way....until i started losing. the closer i get to my goal, the more i can tell how small boned i really am.
  • Mine is 170 currently. It changes about every 10 pounds. Once i get below 160 it will be 160. I never ever want to be over 200 again, pregnant or not, much less 279 where I began!
  • I, much like another poster, have loose skin on my arms, my stomach, and where my thighs meet my torso. really not much anywhere else. 80 pounds of my 117 pound weight loss have been in the last year and a half. I'm hoping to tighten up, and i think it's achievable. i think it all depends on how fast you lose it and your…
  • I buy almost everything organic. including grass fed meat and free range eggs. Now that summer is coming up we are hitting the farmer's market for everything. I spent less there than i would at the super market, not to mention i know it goes to our local farmers. What I can't find there i'll get at whole foods or sometimes…
  • I was 12 when i started wearing make up. it was just simple stuff like powder, lipgloss, and mascara. I didn't get into eyeshadow or anything until i was probably 15 or 16. Most of the girls i went to school with were wearing full face make up before i even started wearing make up. Depending on maturity, i'd probably let…
  • I went "paleo" a couple of months ago, so i've been cooking with almond and coconut flour. I make pancakes, waffles, muffins, pizza crust, fried chicken. You name it and it can be made with those flours. most of my recipes i just google "paleo....(whatever i want)". I don't have any specific site that i like more than…
  • I'm 5'5 and my high weight was 279, am currently 166. I can't post pictures from work, but you can see them on my profile. feel free to add me for motivation and support.
  • I have been wondering how opposum and skunk tasted. At least that is all i remember living in the south when I lived there. ; ) heck, i will be right on the bayou....maybe i'll catch a gator!
  • lara bars----what a good excuse to make some! I was going to try them out last weekend, but got side tracked by a million other yummy dishes. and how could i forget about bacon!!!! I have come to the resolve that i might not be able to eat perfectly paleo (considering my only food store choice will be piggly wiggly), but…
  • i'm on lv 2 day 3 and i've lost inches, not pounds. i suggest taking measurements and pictures.
  • Thanks All! I have to work out after my kids are in bed. I keep trying to get up in the morning to do it, but with sleeping so horribly I can't drag myself out of bed to do it. I do find that I can function on about 6 hours of sleep now that i've lost so much weight, as opposed to the 10 I use to need. I guess i'll be…
  • Completely insane, but more power to you if you can do it! I think insanity is more cardio based, so you might want to do that one in the morning and p90 at night. I was extremely sore the first couple of weeks of doing p90, so i couldn't imagine adding another work out to it.
  • I started at 175 and on average i burned around 500 calories. some days only 200 other days over 600. Depended on my level of intensity and what work out i was doing.
  • I started yesterday, about to go downstairs and get after it right now!
  • When I first started out, I did. I think I stopped doing it around 30 pounds ago. I def. needed it. I had tried and failed so many times, that I needed the little incentives to kick start me. I'm actually contemplating making some more to get me past other goals i've made recently. just make sure it doesn't involve food as…
  • There were a couple of things that spurred me to the right path. the first was my daughter. She was looking over my dads shoulder as he searched the internet, and she saw one of those sensa weightloss ads where the cartoon woman is fat and then shrinks. As it was on the fat woman she pointed to it and said "look, it's a…
