If your MFP daily calorie goal is 2800 that is the number you need to stay at or under to lose weight. If you eat 3200 cals and burn 1,200 cals your deficit for the day will be 800 over the intended built in deficit. Here's the equation 2800 food allowed + 1200 exercise calories earned = 4,000 available cals for the day.…

Some medications actually slow down your metabolism examples would be SSRIs (prescribed for depression etc., narcotic pain relievers, NSAIDs (pain relievers for inflammation) and those are just the ones off the top of my head. I'm sure there are others. Oops just remembered another one steroids like Prednisone.

I had a thyroidectomy a couple of years ago and the part that remained didn't pick up the slack as projected. With proper medication, low carbs, medium protein & high fat. I have been able to lose 92 lbs in 11 months. Please feel free to add me as a friend. Cheers!

I have a small child too and when she is sick it is nearly impossible to find time to make healthy choices let alone prepare a decent meal. I fill in the gaps with proteins bars, fruit, hummus and pretzels thins, cut up veggies. Basically things that are easy to count and can also be carried in my purse. Good luck I hope…

Like someone told me once "Hos gotta hate!" ... also skinny privilege is many times a fleeting thing. One of them may very well be the one on the corner "walking it off" one day ... I've got a Facebook page full of high school ex-skinnies to prove it.
