I began my paleo lifestyle change after doing a whole 30. I truly had issues with food and this was a good way for me to begin. After a whole 30 you can add in any restricted food and see how your body, mood, etc respond after incorporating it again. I have chosen to stay paleo. For me, I feel so much better. I eat a lot…

I use Just Dance to workout with my kids. I can burn as many calories doing that as I can taking a long walk. While my 6 year old picks a song I'll do some push ups, squats, lunges, etc, and get my cardio in while dancing. I've also used gold gym cardio workout. I have more fun doing the dancing with my kids though.

I also use a heart rate monitor when working out, no matter what workout I'm doing. I think you should concentrate on following the food guide that comes with the workouts and eating a lot of protein. It's okay to end up under calorie goal as long as it's not a dramatic difference. With the program it gives you formulas…

My best friend and I were getting up at 4:30 in the morning to workout. We were meeting at 5 but that 30 minutes beforehand gave me a little time to get up and get myself energized... After about a month of doing that I couldn't sleep past 4:30 and it became a habit. It takes time to make a new habit, especially a good one…

I agree with these sentences completely. There are some VERY opinionated people on this site that only see things their way, however, that's not everyone on this site. So ignore the "rude" ones and focus on the positive and motivating people/posts. Good luck on your jounrey and hopefully you'll find some great MFP friends

i completely agree with all this.

I personally think you should be eating at least 1200 calories a day before working out. I don't always eat back my exercise calories like most people on this site will tell you to do. In weight watchers it's optional to eat back your "points" you earn for exercise and I apply that same rule here. However, I do believe…
