First pic is from 2014. I hadn't realize how round my face had been until I saw this picture. Sorry the pictures are so large!

I'm 5' 1 1/2"- 54 years old. My heaviest was 186- I am now 146. I started working on losing weight last June and lost 28 pounds between then and November. I slacked off a little over the holidays. Then got serious again in February. I started back to the gym and kept track of calories- I eat around 1500 a day. THEN, I…

First one is 2012. Second one was last week. (Sorry it's so large-first time I've posted pics and not sure how to resize. lol

Same here. It actually makes it easier because then I don't have to worry about breakfast before work. If I was running short on time I always stopped and bought a breakfast sandwich somewhere, which is not good! I'm very rarely hungry anymore in the morning.

I wish I had started years ago, too! But I think it was because I was always intimidated because I thought it was all these crazy twisted poses, and that you had to be really flexible and skinny to do it! But I guess it's never too late to get started! :)

Thank you! Just downloaded it and looks like the one yoga studio near me has a couple deals for new students!!
-
I've taken a few classes at the gym I'm a member at, but it's just not the same. It's way too noisy!! I know the classes at the yoga studios aren't cheap, but I'm trying to decide if I want to get rid of my membership at the gym (depends on when my commitment time is up- I signed up for 3 years). My commitment should be up…

I've wanted to try yoga for years but was always intimidated because I felt I wasn't flexible enough and was too fat. I love it so much. Hoping to start taking classes at one of the yoga studios in town soon.

I love Adriene! I am caught up now on the 31 Days of Yoga. But I still want to do it twice a day so I need to find some other videos to follow!
-
Thank you! This was very encouraging. The only discomfort I've ever had is in my knees- and only in certain poses. I just need to adjust a bit and it helps.

We have a couple yoga studios in town that I am going to check out. I know it will cost more than I pay for my gym membership, but I may try to at least go once a week to one of them. I need to find out when my gym membership is up for renewal and decide if I'm going to continue with it.

Thank you! I have found my balance is getting better- warrior 3 has definitely become easier to obtain. I will have to get something else to put under my knees.

This is why I tell my husband to NOT buy me clothes! He doesn't understand why he can't just buy me a certain size in anything and have it fit. I tell him I HAVE to try everything on!!

I had never heard of fitnessblender.com and just looked. It looks awesome!! And it's totally free??

Fitting into 2 pairs of jeans that I haven't been able to wear for a long time. B)

This is awesome. :) I'm 53 and working on losing, again. I have done pretty well the past month. I get frustrated when I get on the scales and it hasn't moved (I want to see it go down a pound everyday! Lol- though I know that's impossible). I KNOW what I need to do to lose. I've done it before, then got lazy and the…

Thanks for your answers!! I'm on my 3rd day of IF. I normally don't eat until 12/12:30 and stop around 8:8:30. But I haven't gone to the gym these past 3 days, I've worked out at home. On days I go to the gym, I may have to do different hours (like 10 - 6 or something). The other thing I haven't done is keep track of my…

I am very interested in doing this. I have struggled with getting weight off the past few years. I'll do well for awhile, eating healthier and exercising and lose around 20 pounds. Then I'll get lazy again and gain it back. I just recently started again and have lost a few pounds. I am very determined this time! One of my…

A little progress?? I'd say that's a lot of progress!

Wow! You look 20 years younger!

Wow!! Awesome! So inspirational! I keep feeling like I will never get rid of my belly. This helps me to believe it is possible!!

I agree. I used to drink coffee every single morning. I ran out of coffee filters so didn't make any one morning. I also had no pop that day. Normally around 2 or 3 in the afternoon I'd get really tired. But once I cut out the coffee, I found I didn't get tired in the afternoon. I mainly drink water now. Once in awhile I…

Quite a few years ago I lost 30 pounds in 3 months- I never starved myself, still ate about what I wanted. Just watched portion sizes and exercised regularly. I did gain the weight back, but only because I got lazy and started eating bad again and stopped exercising. I recently started getting serious again. I have lost 10…

I have read also that women who drink a few cups a day have a lower risk of breast cancer.

I wonder if the weight gain has more to do with the creamers and sugar. Coffee itself has very few calories. I'm trying to cut back on the amount of creamer and sugar I put in mine.

I am so glad to read stuff like this! Years ago I lost 50 pounds- and basically ate about anything I wanted- just less of it and I exercised quite a bit. Over the years, I got lazy and gained it all back. Last summer/fall I got back at it again, and lost 24 pounds. But then went through some stressful months (death of my…
