  • Another idea..........make a veggie broth! Add about a pound of veggies to a pot of water. Some ideas include; broccoli, carrots, cauliflower, celery etc. and drink the broth! It fills you up, adds nutrients and gets in your water content! You will NOT BE HUNGRY!
  • I NEED HELP TOO! We have a slight age difference, but I don't think that matters a bit! Let's help each other!
  • Frozen mixed berries, Yogurt and Orange juice! I make great smoothies with these! Add equal to taste and you got a great healthy snack or breakfast! You also got in your calcium and fruit servings for the day!
  • I lost weight on WW, and could not keep it off. MY old habits came back and so did the weight. MFP is the same concept, FREE, and it is easier to just log what you eat instead of looking up point values. This is so much easier, and you get the breakdown of fat, protein, etc. Much better!
  • You probably think this is strange, but I got the idea from my mom when I was a little girl. This is how she got us kids to eat salad. She sprinkled sugar on it! ( There was no Equal back then, but we can use it now!) It satisfies the crunchy and the sweet tooth at the same time! Try it! ;)
  • My husband likes to eat, and every two seconds, he says, "Let's go for ice cream" , which is hard to refuse. The last time I went I ended up getting a lowfat frozen yogurt and pouted because I couldn't have what I really wanted! Try to get him on board with you! Does he need to lose a few? If so, do this together! Even if…
  • Most Americans get plenty of protein in their diets, you usually don't have to go looking for it. How much protein do I need? In general, it's recommended that 10–35% of your daily calories come from protein. Below are the Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA) for different age groups.2 Recommended Dietary Allowance for…
  • We can help each other! ;)
  • I am no expert and I struggle myself. But I did learn a few things: 1)Stay away from junk food and soda (don't eliminate it, just pare it down to once in a while). 2) drink water, as much as possible 3)up your fruits and veggies and lower your carbs 4)take a vitamin everyday 5)have something with calcium in it every day…
  • You got it! I need help too...lets help each other!
  • Thanks for replying! I am depressed because I'm gaining weight instead of losing it, and the libido is shot! I am back on birth control to control the estrogen levels so the hot flashes stopped, (for now). I will try the alcohol thing... ;) thanks! :) lol. Good luck on your journey. Thanks again for replying.
  • I am NOT an expert, but I have been doing Weight Watchers for years and learned a few things. These things you already may be doing, but here goes; 1) up your veggies and fruits. Lower your carbs and when you do eat carbs , eat complex carbs. (Rice, oatmeal.) 2) Drink lots of water 3) Have calcium every day (there is…
  • Be PROUD of yourself! :drinker:
  • I have a Harlee !! We feminized it! Harlee Dee ;)
  • Okay, you want it, you got it! I will help you if you help me!
  • Lots of good advice here! ;) Look for foods to fill your day that will "fill you up".. Ones with fiber (white rice...whole grains, oatmeal). Then you won't be so hungry. Listen to your body, just don't overdo it. Zero foods such as veggies will also fill you up when you are hungry and don't want something that will add…
  • I have done WW since 2002, and had gotten to goal weight, but gained it all back. It's a journey that never ends. You ALWAYS have to watch what you eat and excercise. It's something that doesn't stop. This site is better, and it's free to boot! :)
  • Don't beat yourself up if you have a bad day. Just get back on track the next day. It's okay, you are human. Make sure you eat all your daily totals. If you don't , your body will go into starvation mode and hang onto your calories instead of burning them. Also, when you don't eat enough, your body thinks its starving, so…
