I found reading helped me instead of watching tv or movies!

I've been getting discouraged, I'm almost 5 weeks in and down 5lb. I'm iggnoring the scale now, I can notice it more and more in how my clothes fit. The scale lies!

I used to love carbs but I love Keto more! It is definitely sustainable long term so I'm not sure why people don't think it is.
-
It's basically low carb (less than 20g), moderate protein & high fat. I've seen alot of success from people doing Keto so I'm giving it a try. I did it for 1 week a month ago and lost 6lb but then I got married so I ate/drank all of the carbs haha.

Protein powder in iced coffee??! what! This sounds amazing. Thanks for the idea!

Thank you ladies, I know it's probably mostly water weight it was just a bit shocking! I will stick to it :) Thanks for the motivating words.

Yum! Thank you :) I love raspberry dressing and that's a good idea with the greek yogurt, I'll have to try it! I always have plain greek yogurt at home

Sorry guys I should have clarified myself I didnt mean to sound like I was demanding something! I expected like a quick thing.. Like 20×jumping jacks 20×situps 20×mountain climbers. Just something simple! Sorry! Thank you to everyone who had recommendations! Ill put something together quickly by myself.
-
Thank you! Ill check it out :)

I was really just looking for a few recommended workout moves that people find effective. For example.. Jumping jacks, sit ups.. God this forum is useless

Exactly!!

My boyfriend and I both knew we were having a boy! :)

Thanks ladies for all your responses. I'm probably eating around the same as most of you, 2000 calories give or take a few hundred depending on the day. I felt like 20lb was a higher gain than normal for 24 weeks but I suppose it depends on the woman! I guess I can look at it as I have 16 weeks to go, a pound per week will…

Feel free to add me :) I am due in May with a baby boy

Hi ladies! I am also expecting for around May 7th! :) It will be my first and I'm so excited!!
-
yes, please explain.

try swimming! or yoga! just go at your own pace, it's great you have the motivation because lots of people don't!! Use it!! :)

I love braised kale as a side to a meal. Fry garlic, onion in some olive oil. Add some red pepper flakes depending on if you like spicy or not. Tear up some kale into medium size pieces and add to the pan. Add a 1/4 cup of chicken broth and cook until the kale softens!

I love yoga, I have low back issues as well and it helps a lot. I prefer hot yoga, burns ALOT of calories. Also, abs are made in the kitchen so just eat clean 80% of the time and the weight will fall off!
-
Awesome this is very similar to what I've been aiming for. Thanks!

Hey, Scale-wise I haven't lost in quite awhile like maybe over 6 months so I've been maintaining I suppose but I can tell I've lost in measurements but it's VERY slow progress. I got 1850 from TDEE less 20% calculation.

No, it was for food intolerances but I think people do go to them for arthritis and things of that sort. Not sure about broken bones..
-
What would you say are proper macros for me?
-
Thanks Aaron! It's nice to hear that :) I will stick to what I'm doing.. I know I'll get there someday. I guess our goals are always changing when we change!
-
This yes. I've tried this and trust me, I'd be out squatting 115lb right now if it wasn't for my f'ing back. I messed up my lower back and I'm working on it now with a chiropractor. I'm hoping to get back to heavy lifting. and not my yoga! I love my yoga and it's great for the back and a stress reliever. I wouldn't miss…
-
Good to know Aaron. I know what I'm doing is definitely working for me and I just need to stick with it, I guess I was just looking to see if anyone had anything extra to add that they think I should be doing. and yes a quick fix would be awesome but I know that wouldn't stick in the long run anways. Thanks for the info!

It's all good. I just went there for intolerance testing orginally and they have actually helped me alot with those issues! These are just extra things she did for me.
-
I went to a naturopath and she tested me. You can google naturopathy I suppose. Mainly I went there for food intolerance testing but this was some other information she has given me.

Well I got my body fat taken at the gym over a year ago on some machine I would stand on and hold the bars, they would put in my age, weight, etc. and at that point it read 31% and I know it's gone down since then I can tell. For the naturopath she hooked me up to some little hand held machine and stuck stickys to my arms…
