I am such a sugar addict, I have even tried to do 8 week cleanses etc, but I get jonesing for my chocolate in a bad way!! I have been buying honey candies, they are just honey formed into a hard candy, they are made for going in tea etc but I find it helps to suck on one if I am really craving! I am going to look for green…

Do you heat it up before eating it? The thought of cold oatmeal just does not appeal to me!

I know your pain as only another shift worker can! Night shift is so hard on your body, mind and spirit! I have worked 12 hour days and night (flipping 2days 2 nights) for years! I absolutely hate the nights, I find I want a carb fest! My only solution is prep, I only take healthy food for nights, I cannot eat a full meal…

Feel free to add me too. I am a shift worker and struggle with eating clean on my night shifts and the day after but I do try!! I'm not perfect, I am a work in progress

The chicken in the crockpot is a brilliant idea!! I am going to steal it! My hubby loves pulled pork if I add my sauce to the chicken instead do you think it would work? I take a salad for lunch everyday and I take a smoothie for my morning break. All of this I prepare the night before. I invested in a really nice lunch…

My stomach is so sensitive to sports drinks and gels I have to carry my own. I put honey in my water for energy and I add electrolyte solution. I use pedialyte that you would give to a sick child. I also carry some form of snack, protein ball, dried fruit and I hate to admit it but swedish berries!

loren, was the cauliflower crust hard to make? Can you post the recipe please?

Good luck with your first half...it's exciting, hard and rewarding all at the same time!! I have been derailed from running for the last few months due to an injury and I am slowly starting again. Trust me after your first half you will be hooked!!

Count me in! You are not alone. I find dairy and wheat are my triggers. I can handle them in very small amounts, then I run into bloating, water retention and constipation. I miss beer, gluten free beer is nasty!

Do they not cause your water to turn to a gel like substance? I can't use running gels so I am always looking for new ways to add energy to my water. I put honey in mine

Hi, you can add me if you would like. I too am a runner, I joined a learn to run group 3 years ago and have just kept going! I love it, I have ran half marathons and one 30k race. I have not run for 2 months due to an injury and I have gained 10lbs. I am trying to clean up my eating and I also need to moderate my calories…

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's 21 years ago. After several years of med adjustments I am finally stable on 200 mcg. I am 5'4 and 140lbs. I now can tell by the way I feel if my levels need to be checked. I find I lose slower than most people but that also could be my age (I am 48). I eat normally and I try to workout with…

I also suffer from back pain and sciatica. I do routine visits to my chiropractor which I know is not for everyone! I also found a trainer who modifies excersises and weights to my needs! She is amazing and has helped greatly! Inquire at your gym if any trainer can work with you. I found it helped strengthen my core and I…

Good morning kids. mlp, I work shift and it sucks for eating right, I do 12 hour days and nights, I make sure to pack all of my own meals and on nights I am more of a snacker so I take healthy snacks. I also don't take money to work so I am not tempted to order out or hit the vending machine. It is difficult but doable! I…

Thanks for the recommendations everyone! Off to Amazon to check them out!

Hi all, I am also anti social. I prefer just me and my hubby and like to socialize on my terms, I always joke that I am one cat away from being a crazy cat lady! I am also shy so that does not help. I too enjoy my wine but I do try to limit it to one or two nights a week as I find I lose control of my eating when I drink…

Happy New Year everyone!! I hope all your dreams and resolutions come through this year! I am slowly getting better from my injury, I managed to walk the dog yesterday! Hoping to get back to running and the gym soon! I really need to take off this weight I have gained being sedentary for a month.

I am also dairy free and I love Almond milk. The chocolate almond milk is really good, even my daughter will drink it. I like the unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I use it every morning on gluten free cereal or cream of rice.

You look amazing! Great job. I imagine it was not easy to get out of the house to lift weights with 5 little ones. Can you tell me what the "ketogenic" diet is?
