  • For me, when I eat the night before and the sodium levels I eat determine my weigh-in the next morning. Like many posters here said, learn to love/understand the scale, and over time you'd see the weight drop like magic.
  • Personally, I'd buy calipers for ~$10-15 from Amazon and use those. Measure three times then average out for any inconsistencies to calculate your body fat by mm of skin/fat pinched.
  • It really depends how much you're deadlifting at the time and how much strain you're putting on your body. For example, deadlifting 10 lbs vs 80 lbs is going to be much less taxing on your body. If you're lifting with intensity and weight, I wouldn't be surprised.
