Why exactly was dairy-free recommended? There are better ways to discover lactose intolerance. Also, if that's the case, you can still have dairy, just not lactose free. Anything else, there isn't much real evidence to not include dairy besides acne concerns and/or a vegan/paleo diet. Beware teh pseudosciencez!

It's not really enough to be worth logging. You might burn 200 over an hour. About the same as free-weight exercises. Values would probably be higher if you did them in a circuit fashion too.

You're talking about denaturing protein, which is ok. If denaturization destroyed protein, then you couldn't get any protein from cooked meat or fried eggs.
