Keep up the great work! When you go through the lulls just remember how far you've come and get out there and keep going. There are days where it sucks to plow through.....it's okay to given into those days occasionally but don't let it become a habit and find yourself derailed!

I tend to only shop on the perimeter of the grocery store. That's where you will find most foods in their natural and unprocessed state. I only venture into the aisles of the store for very specific items that I want/need. Eating healthy is actually pretty easy! Fresh fruits, vegetables, grains (if you're not doing…

I love Fage Plain Greek Yogurt....100 cals ad 18 grams of protein in my containers. Love to take a little granola and throw into it. Keeps you satisfied and you get the sweet, the sour, and the crunch all together.

Grouper is another good fish that is very mild tasting and easily grilled, broiled, or baked.

I would say drink more water, try to eat your protein up. There are days where you are 20-30 short on your protein. Find something you like such as peanut butter, greek yogurt, lower sodium lunch meat, etc. to help increase the protein. If you wanted to, you could always make an effort to reduce your processed food intake…

I am happier and more confident in the way I carry myself now. Other professionals that I work with that I see 1-2 times per month are always commenting how awesome I look and that I seem to be doing well.

Just remember that your body is a 24 hour business. It doesn't care when you consume what calories.
-
You could always go outside and play......thats free. Take up running.

Open up your food log and let us take a look at it! If you're having trouble meeting your calories......quit using lower calorie foods such as Kraft Olive Oil Mayo. 1% or 2% milk, Lower cal breads, etc. Use the regular versions and that should help you get your calories up some.

I like to take a couple of chicken breasts and cook them with some spices such as Cumin, Chili/Lime rubs, Southwestern spice mixes, etc. Cut the chicken up afterwards to where it's shredded. Throw in some chopped onion, some Pico de Gallo or salsa, and a bit of salt and pepper to taste. Use that mix for tacos....or I like…

I've come to realize a few things. You have to want this for YOURSELF and nobody else and no other reasons. I set a few goals, signed up for a 5K with a friend, and got myself a personal trainer. The rest is history. When you're paying $165 per week for 3 1-hour personal training sessions you find your motivation to not be…

I have UA Men's Escape II shorts. I love them. They are super light weight and I never have any problems with chaffing/rubbing in them. They are also long enough to wear as a general purpose athletic activity short but are very thin and cool. Also have a pair from Mizuno that I really like.

I said no more.....threw what was left out....and now I am 100% water with occasional coffee and milk.

No, your body is a 24/7/365 machine.

I run 3-4 days per week. I don't always buy that "working out in the fat zone" or "cardiovascular zone" business. You're still out there, being active, and moving....... Just remember to keep your nutrition in check. I have a friend who is a marathoner and a multiple ironman tell me repeatedly that you CANNOT out run a…

You do realize that the people on the biggest loser have crazy daily caloric burns and a highly restricted caloric intake? WHY would you be expecting a double digit loss? 3lbs loss over a week is fantastic and you should be happy with it. We didn't gain fat overnight and it's not going to vaporize overnight with a bit of…

Does it feel more like a muscular or ligamental pain? Any recent changes in your physical activity or increase in intensity/pace/distance? Are you over training? Does it throb or ache? Better or worse in the morning? What part of the ankle is hurting? Rest Ice Compress-->Wrap it up snugly in an ace wrap Elevate NSAIDs as…

If you aren't finding yourself compromised while running from a pulmonary standpoint I wouldn't worry about it. Get out there and focus on whatever your mind wants to think on and let your lungs just do their work. I find that when I try to force myself to breath to a certain pattern/rhythm/pace/depth that I end up tiring…

Check to see if you have a Fleet Feet in your area. They are a national company but are also a running store. Otherwise look online for outdoors or athletic stores in your area that focus on running and or are locally owned and know what they are doing. Don't go to ****'s, Sports Authority, etc....it's a waste of your time.

Running is more a mind game than a physical game. Your body CAN run long distances but your mind tells you that you CANNOT. Push through your mental hurdles. Get yourself distracted and not focusing on your stride, breathing, pavement.....I love to day dream while running as it takes my mind away from the physical feelings…

I am a Gel Nimbus runner too! I have 10's, 11's, and 2 pairs of 12's.....can't wait to try out the 13's soon!

As outlined above.......Start with your socks and your shoes.

I'd jump on the Paleo band wagon before doing Atkins!

Eat your calories!
-
Not a plateau! Are you eating your daily calorie goal are are you falling short? If you're not exercising get out there and get moving!

Rest, Ice, and just plain stay off of it for a few days. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatories if you need some pain relief but be careful with them if you have GI or bleeding issues. Stay away from heat as it can enhance the inflammatory process and actually increase your pain/discomfort. Ice it several times a day for 15-20…

Swim and stay off that ankle...RICE it!

Started W5D1 today. I was a bit worried about it as I felt W4 was awful. W5D1 went fantastic though. All three of the runs were easy and were actually enjoyable. Looking forward to the rest of the program!

Abdominoplasty and panniculectomy are most likely what you are referring to and not an appendectomy. Removal of the appendix is not generally done on an elective basis unless you are already having abdominal surgery and we typically go ahead and remove it if you still have it.
