Ok so as I post it a while ago and people recommended edit my food intake in MFP, so I did and now since almost a month on a 1200 cal I feel that 2830 its a lot of food. I do try to eat them but after my workout I have to add the calories I burn to my daily and its back to almost 2000. As a matter of fact what I do is put less calories burn in my workouts, because by dinner I still have like 1500 or more cal left over without my cardio workout calories. Anyone has any good advice about that? I want to make sure I don't to the mistake of eating less and not loosing no weight. That's what I'm concerned, while on 2830 I lost 1 lb this week since I started which is "ASWOME" but I want to make sure I eat good. Also when eating my body fills full and I still have lots of food left over, like 50% of it..

P.S. I love that I have so many cal to work with but concerned about not being able to eat enough

Thanks Y'all

Well I was on the 1200 for a month! How many do you have to work with?

Plan ahead. I'm sure you know roughly what your total will be for the day. Maybe a high cal protein mix to sip between meals.

I'm glad you're realizing that you need to eat more calories. 1200 is a ridiculous amount and is only setting people up for failure! Keep it up!
  • IM RUNNING INTO THE SAME PROBLEM--- FROM WHAT IVE READ IT IS SUPER IMPORTANT TO EAT YOUR EXERCISE CALS BCK BUT ITS LIKE OMG SO MANY IM BURNING ABOUT 700-1000 MON-FRI PLUS MY 1250 IM GIVEN TO BEGIN WITH -- IM TRYING TO MAKE A ROUTINE LIKE PLAN DAY IN ADVANCE WHAT IMA EAT MAKING MY BREAKFAST A LIL BUMPED UP AND ALSO LUNCH GOT A MID MORNING SNACK AND A PRE WORKOUT (AFTERNOON SNACK) THEN A POST WORKOUT SHAKE IN THERE HOPING THIS WORKS --- I DO FIND WHEN I DONT EAT BACK MY LOSS STALLS OR IM STARVING ALL THE SUDDEN & THEN GRAB WHATS ALWAYS NOT THE HEALTHIEST CHOCE--- SO IM STILL LEARNING ANXIOUS TO SEE HOW THIS WEEK GOES THE WAY IT LOOKS NOW IM ABOUT 200-300 UNDER MY EATING BACK BUT I FIGURE SINCE I USE AND HRM SOME OF THOSE CALS I DONT HAVE TO EAT BACK SINCE IN AN HOUR MY BODY BURNS SOME CALS AUTOMATICALLY .. SO WE SHALL SEE HOW IT GOES THIS WEEK... ((EXCITED TO SEE WHAT OTHERS SAY ON THIS TOPIC AS WELL GREAT ?))

Open up your food log and let us take a look at it!

If you're having trouble meeting your calories......quit using lower calorie foods such as Kraft Olive Oil Mayo. 1% or 2% milk, Lower cal breads, etc. Use the regular versions and that should help you get your calories up some.

@Koosdel I try my best and I'm heading to the store in the night
@vettle I know I was setting for failure that's for sure, and thanks I will I already lost a lb today :):love:
  • The program is designed for you to lose weight on certain amount of calories. It also takes into concideration the excercise portion of your calorie burning. If you were to eat 1200 calories and burn 400 calories then you have a chance of not eating enough nutrition. so if you burn 700 calories then you need to add them back into your daily count of 1200 in order to get the nutrition you need. Eating more calories doesn't mean you won't lose weight, it means you are getting the nutrients that you need while your excercise plan takes hold. I have lost a total of 36 pounds doing this since July 31st! I have 60 to go. I am excited to say 60 rather than 100! Yeah!! Take care and good luck to you.

  • Yeah.. how do you change from the mentality of eating at such a low amount of calories on a diet for such a long time to something like bulking or maintaining, How do you stop the guilt of eating a lot?

When I moved from loss to maintenance phase, I made small changes to my calorie intake at a time - 100-200 calories. Is it possible it may help you if you increase your cals maybe 250 per week over 4 weeks and then your body can adjust to the extra better?
