Do you eat fish? Tuna, Cod, Halibut, Salmon, etc with a vegetable as a side?

If you plan to seriously run and to do it on a regular basis head to Fleet Feet Sports or whatever your local running store is. They will watch you run outside or on a treadmill and analyze your gait and determine if you are a neutral runner, over-pronate, etc. Shoes are so important and not every shoe is created equal. I…

As others have mentioned......make sure that YOU are being paid attention to, trained appropriately, explained what and why, etc. I worked out with some trainers at my gym and they were all just basic count and add weight. I went to another trainer that trains at a small private upscale gym and it's been a total…

Definitely contact a few trainers and talk to them! They will want to know your wants, goals, what you're currently doing, etc. so that they can devise their plan for you. Make sure you pick a trainer that you feel comfortable with and that you feel is going to take the time to teach you what you need to know. Don't feel…

Yes, please! Ask lots of questions. There are a lot of runners around here. Running is tough on the body and you really need to do everything you can to take care of yourself. Dynamic stretches before running, stretches to help you cool down and keep your quads, hamstrings, etc. from being tight. Definitely do some reading…

Sounds like you ramped up your mileage too much too fast. Focus on warming up, cooling down, stretching, and rolling! Maybe back your mileage down for a week or so. Are you following a training plan for your marathon or just going at it?

If you're wanting them to run in I would advise you to visit a store such as Fleet Feet or another specialty running store. They will analyze your gait, stride, and pronation or lack there of and help you determine what shoe is best for you without regards to the price/brand/look of the shoe.

I would start out with couch 2 5K on my iPhone, iPod, android, or listen to one of the many podcasts. It takes you from no running to running 30 minutes over a 9 week period using intervals. You run 3 days a week and no more. It's a good program for folks who are wanting to get into running. A lot of running is getting…

When I do use mayo I use the Kraft Mayo that is made from Olive Oil. It tastes great and I believe it's 45cals per serving. I also use maybe 1/2 of a serving. Just barely enough to get a taste of the mayo with the sandwich.

Eat a moderate caloric deficit Lift heavy weights to help increase lean body mass Most of all....have fun.

Fat is good for the body and is necessary. With what you're eating I'd definitely to to some full fat dairy, olive oils, etc. to help increase your cals.
-
Definitely Couch 2 5K! You can either download podcasts or you can download an app if you have a iPhone or Android. Good luck!
-
For starters you can use a milk with a higher fat content. Are you sure you REALLY did TRUE HIIT for 1.5 hours or you just did interval training for 1.5 hours?

Find out what your local running store is and go have them determine which shoe is best for you! Fleet Feet is a pretty common running store found in most major cities.

I'm in!

All running shoes work! Get shoes that are fitted for your gait. Check out your local Fleet Feet or other running store and they will help. Running shoes that last? That will all depend on the mileage you're putting on them. I'm an Asics Gel Nimbus guy.

Welcome to the addictive world of running all you newbies! Please stick with it if you think you enjoy it. There are days where it's tough to push through the MENTAL hurdles of running that last minute of your interval.....but your BODY is physically capable of it. Running is as much of a mind game as a physical…

I'm two weeks into working with my personal trainer. We initially started 2x/week and are now doing 3x/week and will reevaluate in two months on frequency. I've enjoyed working with him...it's been nice to have somebody to keep me accountable, safe, and to chat up a bit while working various muscle groups. We do minimal…

Running outside is a different ballgame than running on the dreadmill. Slow it down, speedy!

Definitely stop buying the low calories products and eat regular and real food. What kind of milk do you purchase? If you buy skim buy 1% instead.....go up a notch on your milk and that will increase your calories.
-
That is definitely the goal. Slowly but surely!
