  • No food at your desk! Take your lunch away from your desk and same for snacks. The French ladies I work with influence me a lot, they would never eat in a place that wasn't designated for eating. I only consume black coffee and hot tea at my desk.
  • I limit gluten because my allergies (sneezing, runny nose, etc) always disappear when I do. I used to attribute this to the weather, now I know it's diet related. I limit dairy (i stick to greek yogurt and some cheese) to keep my skin blemish free and without red splotches (cutting sugar helps with keeping your skin clear…
  • I think a low carb diet is GREAT if you want to drop a bunch of weight quickly and then gain it back even faster, plus more. You're better off going low sugar than low carb. I did low carb/ low cal to lose 50 pounds and it was miserable. Now I'm losing the last 30-40 pounds and yesterday I ate an entire bagel and two…
  • I'm wondering if it's beneficial to calculate TDEE using activity level sedentary with no exercise, and then eating at that number + eating back exercise cals. Logically this sounds like a good plan. Can anyone dispute?
  • Scooby's site gave me 1840 (with a 15% cut). This site gave me 1763 (with 15% cut). Yet it reccomends I cut by 500 calories...almost exactly 25% of TDEE which is way too much to sustain (for me). So my calculations make only an 80 cal difference between these two sites...so maybe it has more to do with how you calculated…
  • I just noticed your avatar LOL it's like youre talking to me...my hair and makeup are usually perfect after exercise. Again proving I am just doing "moderate" work.
  • I think we would need to know how many calories you burn per workout to determine if you are doing moderate or strenuous work. I have mine at moderate, I work out about 10 hours per week but I rarely raise my heart rate by very much or sweat at all (unless it's a very humid Florida afternoon). That's how I have determined…
  • I forgot to mention my UGW. I'd love to see what I'd look like at 95 pounds. According to Scooby's website, this should take just over a year if I don't lose any muscle mass. I'm totally comfortable with that! Especially as I'll still get to eat over 1600 cals at that weight if I maintain activity.
