  • I'm in the same boat -- Somehow I managed to eat 5 peanut butter cookies today...!
  • Gives you step by step instructions to have you running a 5k in 10 weeks! http://www.fromcouchto5k.com/articles/training/the-couch-to-5k-training-plan/
  • Thanks for all the great advice! I just started taking my prescribed potassium tabs last night - I hope by adding some of the potassium rich foods/beverages you all mentioned will help get my levels back where they should be! Thanks again!!
  • This is a great post! Thanks for making my day!!
  • You could have a sensitivity to Aspartaime - the artificial sweetner in about 98% of diet drinks and sugar free stuff. I was having similar problems, to the point where I was taking daily medication to help prevent migraines. Cutting out drinks, gum/candy, etc. containing Aspartaime has really helped and I feel tons…
  • =bump=
  • I totally agree - call UPS asap and let them know the status of the package is "delivered" but not to your house. Best of luck!
  • Losing the extra weight is totally worth all the time you spend in the gym and paying attention to your eating habits when you get your wedding pictures back! You can do it b/c looking good in your wedding dress in front of all of your friends and family is the BIGGEST motivation!!
  • I just updated my weight this morning to be truthful and fair to myself - I have gained 3 pounds since my last weigh in... Weekends are brutal!
  • So scary! Glad to hear you are okay!!
  • That is too funny! I kept telling my family and friends that my goal weight was to weigh was my license said I weighed..! Now, like you, my license is still wrong - but in a good way!!
  • Ugh... so frustrating isn't it?!? I am 2 pounds from my goal and have been 2 pounds for the past 3 weeks! I have considered changing my goal weight to a lower number to see if that will entice me into losing the last little bit. Good luck and keep up the good work!
  • Call around to your local tailors and see what they charge to have your pants taken in. You can have them taken in about 1-2 sizes - if they become too big after being taken in, you just might have to break down and buy new pants! This is what I did. I had my sz 10-12's taken in to a sz 8, now I treat myself to a sz 6 each…
  • The most "natural" way to run is for the ball of your feet to hit the ground first and your heal just barely hit. Most running shoes force your heal to hit the ground first - in your case, hitting flat. Try to focus on toe-to-heal for a few minutes at a time with each run, increasing the amount of time you run toe-to-heal…
  • I hope FMP helps you the way it has helped me and MANY others - and the best part is - IT'S FREE! Keep up the good work on your weight loss and your recovery!
  • If you like beer, both Miller and Budweiser make low cal beer - MGD 64 and I think Bud has one under 60 cals - Can't think of the name. I struggle with this every weekend...! I'll be pulling for UGA over Tennessee!
  • I just got married 6 months ago so I went through this only a year ago... Try doing an online search for local wedding venues - you will be surprised at what pops up! Most public park allow small weddings and receptions as well as older plantation houses, etc. Congrats and best of luck!
  • I do the same thing - I keep track Monday thru Friday and maybe on the weekends if I'm not too busy. I still think about what I am eating but I never withhold any foods or drinks from myself, just control my portion sizes. Some people with MFP are very obsessive with documenting and keeping track of EVERYTHING, but it's…
  • Congrats on the wedding!! I would not be upset for gaining 2 pounds following your wedding - I gained almost 7 pounds from Rehearsal Dinner, Wedding Day/Reception and Honeymoon. You are allowed to gain a little, you deserve it after the stressful planning of your wedding! The important thing is to get back in the swing of…
  • My guess would be half the calories burned during sex...
  • I didn't even think about sex as burning calories!! Now I don't feel so bad for skipping the gym last night!
  • I used to be in a sorority so I know how difficult it is when a problem or issue arrises. When I was active, we would have weekly meetings to discuss upcoming events and what is going on within the sorority and on campus. Maybe use this time, after the meeting when everyone is all together, to talk to them. Let them all…
  • The Slim Fast diet is a great way to lose initial weight (I call it motivational weight) but it is not realistic for the long term. I have found that allowing myself to eat whatever I want, in small to moderate portions, to be the most successful means to losing weight. If you do not allow yourself to eat certain items,…
  • If you own more pairs of running shoes than you do high heals!
  • Counting my trip to the bathroom first thing this morning, I have gone between 6-8 times. Drinking the water is easy, it's the trips to the bathroom that interupt your work day that are the pits!
  • I wouldn't consider this a "diet" but I read the book "Skinny B!tch" and was not able to eat meat, sugar and many other things for about 2 weeks. Please do not read this book unless you want to be scared skinny!
  • I would suggest the 100 calorie cookie packs or pudding packs. Also, if fruit just isn't cutting it - try spicing it up! Add jello to your grapes, apples, etc. This gives you the sweetness you want without the calories! http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=23930
  • Thank you very much for your posts. Both are really good ideas - just might have to give them a shot!
  • What a great idea!! I am bumping for now, will post my info later tonight!
